Job summary

Data Analytics Ventures, Inc. (DAVI) is seeking a capable Business Analyst to bridge business ideas and delivery teams, translating requirements into BRDs, user stories, and acceptance criteria for Product, Technology and Data.

You will lead structured requirements sessions, map current and future processes, scope initiatives, manage stakeholders, and support portfolio reporting to enable leadership decisions. A strong analytical mindset and cross-functional collaboration are essential.

Qualifications

• 3 to 6+ years of experience in business analysis, process improvement, or a closely related role with a demonstrated track record of producing requirements documentation.
• Strong structured thinking and documentation skills to translate ambiguous problems into clear, actionable specs.
• Experience across multiple functions and conflicting priorities without losing momentum.
• Familiarity with business process mapping and agile delivery environments.

Responsibilities

• Maintain a library of process documentation reflecting actual operations.
• Facilitate requirements reviews and act as primary contact for scope/timeline decisions.
• Support portfolio dashboards, initiative trackers, and risk registers for leadership decisions.
• Lead quality reviews of requirements before handoff to enabling teams.

I'm the person who makes sure that when someone in DAVI has a great business idea, it doesn't get lost in translation on its way to becoming something real. I sit between the business and the teams that build and deliver, translating what the business actually needs into structured, actionable requirements that Product, Technology, and Data can work with. I ask the questions no one else thought to ask, find the gaps in assumptions before they become expensive mistakes, and make sure that every initiative we take on is properly scoped, documented, and set up to succeed from day one.

Responsibilities - How will you do this?

Requirements Gathering and Documentation

• Lead structured requirements gathering sessions with business stakeholders across Commercial, Marketing, Operations, and other functions to translate business intent into clear, actionable specifications
• Produce and maintain high-quality business requirements documents (BRDs), process flows, user stories, and acceptance criteria that meet DAVI's standard for handoff to Product, Technology, and Data
• Ensure requirements are complete, unambiguous, and traceable from business objective through to delivery outcome, closing the gap between what the business asks for and what gets built

Initiative Scoping and Feasibility

• Support the Head of Project Management Office in scoping new project proposals, defining boundaries, assumptions, dependencies, and resource requirements before business cases are submitted for approval
• Identify gaps, risks, and unstated assumptions in proposals early, and surface these to the Head of PMO before they escape into delivery problems
• Conduct feasibility assessments in coordination with enabling functions (Product, Technology, Data) to validate that proposed solutions are buildable within the constraints of the current platform and roadmap

Process Analysis and Improvement

• Map current-state business processes across functions, identify inefficiencies, redundancies, and gaps, and recommend future-state designs that align with DAVI's operating model
• Document workflow changes resulting from the LJI migration, PWA build, and coalition expansion, ensuring business process implications are captured and communicated to affected teams
• Maintain a library of process documentation that reflects how DAVI actually operates, not just how it was designed to operate on paper

Stakeholder Management and Alignment

• Facilitate requirements review sessions and working group discussions, ensuring all relevant stakeholders have contributed their input before requirements are finalized
• Act as the primary point of contact for business stakeholders during the requirements and scoping phase of an initiative, managing expectations on timeline, scope, and what is and is not in scope
• Escalate scope changes, conflicting requirements, and unresolved business decisions to the Head of PMO with a clear summary of the issue and recommended resolution

Portfolio Support and Reporting

• Support the Head of PMO in maintaining portfolio dashboards, initiative trackers, and status reports, ensuring data is accurate, current, and presented in a way that enables leadership decisions
• Prepare materials for portfolio review meetings including initiative summaries, dependency maps, and risk registers
• Track and report on the status of requirements delivery across active initiatives, flagging where delays in requirements sign-off are creating downstream delivery risk

Quality and Governance

• Maintain and evolve DAVI's requirements documentation standards, templates, and review processes in partnership with the Head of PMO
• Conduct quality reviews of requirements produced by other functions before they are handed to enabling teams, ensuring consistency and completeness across projects
• Support post-implementation reviews by comparing delivered outcomes against original requirements, identifying gaps and lessons learned for future initiatives

To be successful, you’ll need

• 3 to 6+ years of experience in business analysis, process improvement, or a closely related role with a demonstrated track record of producing requirements documentation
• Strong structured thinking and documentation skills: able to take an ambiguous business problem, ask the right questions, and produce a clear, complete requirements document that a technical team can build against without needing constant clarification
• Experience working across multiple functions simultaneously, comfortable navigating competing stakeholder priorities, conflicting requirements, and unclear ownership without losing momentum
• Working knowledge of business process mapping tools and techniques, including the ability to document current-state and future-state workflows in a format that is accessible to both business and technical audiences
• Familiarity with Agile delivery environments: understanding of how requirements feed into sprint planning, how user stories are structured, and how acceptance criteria are used to validate delivery
• Analytical mindset with high attention to detail, particularly in identifying unstated assumptions, logical gaps, and edge cases in requirements before they reach delivery teams
• Familiarity with the loyalty, digital, fintech, or e-commerce ecosystem is a strong advantage
