Job summary

CBRE Philippines is seeking a Building Engineer to monitor, maintain and repair building systems in Bacolod City, including plumbing, electrical, heating and cooling, and related facilities.

The role focuses on supporting preventive maintenance, safety compliance, and energy efficiency, ensuring reliable service for clients in the GWS segment.

The position requires practical trade experience, strong communication, and a proactive problem‑solving approach in a fast‑paced environment.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent with 4–5 years of related experience.
• Universal CFC certification preferred.
• Certifications/licenses as may be required by local jurisdictions.
• Prior shift management or supervisory experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Perform maintenance and repairs to mechanical, plumbing, structural, furniture, fire, life safety, and control systems.
• Comply with all applicable codes, regulations, governmental agency, and company directives related to building operations and work safety.
• Maintain an energy management program. Ensure all systems operate in the most efficient manner.
• Assist with the implementation of a preventive maintenance program to ensure that building machinery and systems meet or exceed their rated life.
• Follow departmental policies for storage, usage, and disposal of hazardous materials; maintain a clean and safe workplace.
• Review inspections of building systems including fire alarms, HVAC, and plumbing to ensure operation within design parameters.
• Apply in-depth knowledge of standard principles to accomplish complex assignments and provide innovative solutions.
• Coach others and share knowledge within the function.
