Job summary

GAMA Foods Corporation is seeking a Breeder Technical Manager to provide veterinary and technical leadership for breeder farm operations, focusing on flock health, reproductive performance and egg production. You will collaborate with farm teams to implement sound practices, address technical issues, and ensure adherence to production, health and biosecurity standards.

The role requires leadership, travel to breeder farm locations, and the ability to drive improvements across multiple sites

Qualifications

• Graduate of Doctor of Veterinary Medicine and a Licensed Veterinarian.
• Experience in breeder farm operations or poultry production is advantageous.
• Strong knowledge of breeder flock management, reproductive health, vaccination, disease prevention and biosecurity.
• Ability to monitor egg production, fertility, hatchability, mortality and flock uniformity.
• Proven leadership, analytical, communication and decision-making skills.

Responsibilities

• Lead breeder health and flock management programs to meet production targets.
• Evaluate flock performance including egg production, fertility and hatchability.
• Conduct technical farm assessments and provide veterinary recommendations.
• Coach Farm Managers, Veterinarians and supervisors on breeder management and biosecurity.
• Review farm data and develop action plans to improve productivity and hatchery support.

Job Summary

The Breeder Technical Manager provides veterinary and technical leadership to breeder farm operations, with a focus on flock health, reproductive performance, egg production, and overall farm efficiency. The role works closely with farm teams to establish sound management practices, address technical concerns, and ensure breeder operations meet established production, health, and biosecurity standards.

Qualifications

• Graduate of Doctor of Veterinary Medicine and a Licensed Veterinarian
• Experience in breeder farm operations, poultry production, or veterinary practice is an advantage
• Strong knowledge of breeder flock management, reproductive health, vaccination, disease prevention, and biosecurity
• Knowledgeable in monitoring breeder performance indicators such as egg production, fertility, hatchability, mortality, and flock uniformity
• Strong leadership, analytical, communication, and decision-making skills
• Willing to travel regularly to breeder farm locations

Key Responsibilities

• Lead the implementation and monitoring of breeder health and flock management programs to achieve production and reproductive targets
• Evaluate flock performance, including egg production, fertility, hatchability, flock uniformity, mortality, and other critical indicators
• Conduct technical farm assessments and investigate health, production, and management concerns, providing appropriate veterinary recommendations
• Coach and mentor Farm Managers, Veterinarians, Supervisors, and farm personnel on breeder management, animal health, biosecurity, and proper farm practices
• Review farm performance data and technical reports, identify recurring issues, and develop action plans to improve breeder productivity and support downstream hatchery performance
