Qualifications

• 3+ years experience in purchasing, procurement or inventory management.
• Knowledge of procurement processes, supplier management and inventory control systems.
• Strong negotiation skills and ability to analyse data for cost savings.

• Ensure compliance with company policies and relevant regulatory requirements in all procurement activities

About the role

Vikings Group of Companies is seeking a Branch Purchasing Officer to join our team in Gateway Mall, Quezon City, Metro Manila. This is a full-time position that plays a crucial role in our supply chain operations. As Branch Purchasing Officer, you will be responsible for managing procurement activities, maintaining inventory levels, and ensuring cost-effective purchasing decisions that support the operational excellence of our branch. This role is integral to our logistics and supply chain management functions, directly contributing to the efficiency and profitability of our operations.

Key responsibilities

What we're looking for

• At least 3 years experience in purchasing, procurement or inventory management within the manufacturing, transport and logistics sector
• Strong knowledge of procurement processes, supplier management and inventory control systems
• Excellent negotiation skills with the ability to build and maintain effective supplier relationshipsProficiency in relevant procurement software and systems, as well as Microsoft Office applications
• Demonstrated ability to analyse data, identify trends and make informed purchasing decisions
• Strong organisational skills with meticulous attention to detail
• Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities to collaborate effectively across departments
• Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Supply Chain Management, or a related field (preferred)
• Professional certification such as Certified Professional in Supplier Diversity (CPSD) or equivalent (advantageous)
