Job summary

Black & White Engineering seeks a hands‑on BIM Team Leader to set standards for information delivery on critical buildings and infrastructure projects. You will lead BIM implementation, ensure model quality and guide a capable team under demanding deadlines.

The role focuses on high-specification projects, with BIM standards development, clash detection, and collaboration with design engineers. Strong leadership and Revit MEPF expertise are essential for success at this level.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering.
• High-level proficiency in Revit MEPF, Navisworks; BIM levels from LOD 200 to 500.
• Proven experience in model validation, clash detection and QC processes.
• Hands-on experience with ACC or BIM 360 environments.
• Strong leadership and collaboration skills to lead a team under pressure.
• Familiarity with RIBA Plan of Work stages is an advantage.

Responsibilities

• Lead the implementation of BIM standards, protocols and workflows across live projects.
• Oversee clash detection, model validation and quality control to ensure client-ready deliverables.
• Develop and maintain BIM standards and object libraries across the business.
• Coordinate with design engineers and project teams, supporting troubleshooting of complex model issues.
• Mentor and guide a BIM team, enabling progression and knowledge sharing.
• Support learning and development through accredited courses and internal sessions.

Do you have deep technical expertise in BIM and a passion for getting models right?

As BIM Team Leader at Black & White Engineering, you will set the standard for how information is built, validated and delivered across our critical buildings and infrastructure projects.

Reporting to the BIM Manager, this is a hands‑on leadership role for someone who combines technical precision with the ability to guide and support a team under real project pressure.

Essential Skills and Experience

• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering, or a related field.
• High-level proficiency in Revit MEPF and Navisworks, with extensive experience across BIM levels of detail from LOD 200 to LOD 500.
• Proven experience in model validation, clash detection and quality control processes.
• Hands‑on experience working in ACC or BIM 360 environments.
• Strong communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to lead a team and manage multiple workstreams under tight deadlines.
• Familiarity with RIBA Plan of Work stages is an advantage.
