Job summary

VIATechnik in Makati seeks a BIM Specialist (Electrical) to develop, coordinate, and maintain electrical BIM models for complex building projects. Qualifications

• BIM and BIM Coordination skills with hands-on experience in industry-standard BIM tools.
• Knowledge of MEP systems and Architecture to coordinate electrical designs within multidisciplinary models.
• Experience managing and integrating Submittals into BIM workflows, ensuring alignment with project specs and standards.
• Electrical design or drafting experience in the AEC industry, ideally on large/complex projects.
• Proficiency with BIM software such as Revit, Navisworks or similar; familiarity with collaboration tools and model review processes.
• Strong attention to detail, organizational skills, and ability to manage multiple deadlines in a fast-paced, project-driven environment.
• Effective communication and collaboration skills in a hybrid (office/remote) setting.
• Associate or bachelor’s degree in engineering/architecture/construction, or equivalent experience.

Role Description

The BIM Specialist (Electrical) is a full-time role responsible for developing, coordinating, and maintaining electrical BIM models for complex building projects. This hybrid position is based in Makati, with a combination of on-site collaboration and work-from-home flexibility. Day-to-day tasks include creating and updating detailed electrical layouts in BIM software, coordinating with multidisciplinary teams (including MEP and architectural stakeholders), and ensuring models comply with project standards and client requirements. The BIM Specialist will review and integrate submittals into models, support clash detection and resolution, and prepare documentation and model exports for design reviews and construction. The role also involves working closely with project managers and engineers to optimize workflows, improve model quality, and support digital construction processes from design through execution.

Qualifications

• Candidates should possess strong Building Information Modeling (BIM) and BIM Coordination skills, with hands-on experience in industry-standard BIM tools.


• Candidates should possess knowledge of Mechanical Electrical and Plumbing (MEP) systems and Architecture to effectively coordinate electrical designs within multidisciplinary models.


• Candidates should possess experience managing and integrating Submittals into BIM workflows, ensuring alignment with project specifications and standards.


• Relevant experience in electrical design or drafting within the AEC industry, ideally on large or complex projects.


• Proficiency with BIM software such as Revit, Navisworks, or similar platforms; familiarity with collaboration tools and model review processes.


• Strong attention to detail, organizational skills, and the ability to manage multiple deadlines in a fast-paced, project-driven environment.


• Effective communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work in diverse, cross-functional teams in a hybrid (office and remote) setting.
