The Bidding Pre-Sales Associate is responsible for identifying and evaluating bidding opportunities, developing technical and commercial proposals, conducting discovery meetings and product demonstrations, and supporting the preparation of competitive and compliant bid submissions. The role serves as the primary link between the Government Sales Division and the Technical/Engineering Team to develop customer-focused solutions that meet procurement requirements and increase bid success.
Monitor and evaluate government and private sector bidding opportunities.
Review procurement documents such as RFIs, RFPs, RFQs, ITBs, and related bid requirements.
Assess bid opportunities based on technical, commercial, and organizational capability.
Develop bid schedules, timelines, and submission plans.
Prepare technical, commercial, and administrative proposal documents.
Develop solution narratives, executive summaries, implementation approaches, and value propositions.
Customize proposals based on customer requirements and evaluation criteria.
Coordinate proposal inputs from Sales, Technical, Operations, and other stakeholders.
Analyze customer requirements, technical specifications, and contractual provision.
Ensure proposals comply with procurement requirements and submission guidelines.
identify proposal risks, assumptions, dependencies, and required clarifications before submission.
Conduct discovery meetings to understand customer requirements.
Collaborate with Solution Engineers and technical teams to develop appropriate solutions.
Conduct product demonstrations, presentations, and solution briefings.
Support clarification meetings, proposal presentations, and bid defenses when required.
Provide market and competitor insights to strengthen bid strategies.
Collaborate proposal development activities across Sales, Technical, Finance, Legal, and Management teams.
Facilitate proposal review meetings and monitor submission deadlines.
Review proposal documents for accuracy, completeness, formatting, consistency, and compliance.
Ensure proposal packages are complete and ready for submission.
Maintain proposal templates, reusable content, case studies, and project references.
Record bid results, win/loss statistics, and proposal performance.
Document lessons learned and recommend process improvements to enhance proposal quality and efficiency.
Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Marketing, Engineering, Information Technology, Communications, Management, or a closely related field.
Experience in proposal writing, pre-sales, bid management, or government procurement is preferred.
Experience preparing RFI, RFQ, RFP, and tender responses is an advantage.
Experience coordinating cross-functional teams is preferred.
Experience in government procurement processes and bidding procedures, proposal development and technical documentation, Microsoft Office and document management systems, and basic solution selling and presentation techniques.
Skills in proposal writing and documentation, business and technical communication, requirements analysis, project coordination and stakeholder management, presentation and facilitation, and time management and organizational skills.
Abilities to interpret procurement and contractual documents, develop accurate, persuasive, and compliant proposals, communicate effectively with technical and non-technical stakeholders, and manage multiple projects and meet tight submission deadlines.
