Job summary

BDO Unibank is seeking a senior leader to drive the CBG Motor Team's new and renewal insurance business, aiming to hit premiums, commissions, profitability, and persistency targets through strategic development programs and robust processes.

You will coordinate with insurers, bank counterparts, and internal units to broker solutions, monitor performance, and implement enhancements, while coaching and developing the team.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate with insurers to accredit them to the CBG program; enhance packages and obtain best rates and benefits.
• Coordinate and maintain relationships with bank counterparts to broker services and solutions for existing and untapped bases.
• Identify markets and opportunities within the existing base and other client bases; develop and implement strategies.
• Ensure targets in premiums, commissions, profitability, and other KRAs are met.
• Cross-sell other insurance products to increase production.
• Manage day-to-day activities of the CBG Motor New and Renewal Business teams.
• Maintain and monitor renewal/new business masterlist with CBG, branches, and processing.
• Prepare renewal monitoring reports and document process improvements.
• Coordinate with other sections to resolve issues and ensure proper procedures are followed.
• Coach and develop team performance; conduct training needs analysis and implement development plans.

Responsible for ensuring that CBG Motor Team (New and Renewal Business) targets in insurance premiums, commission, profitability, penetration and persistency are met through the implementation of business development initiatives, marketing programs, and processes/procedures from quotation/proposal generation, placements, booking, client servicing and administration of CBG accounts (Auto Loans); while ensuring that bank risks are covered at all times.

Responsibilities:

Business Development

• Coordinate with insurers in accrediting them to the CBG program; enhancing existing packages and obtaining best possible rates and benefits for new ones; ensuring that SLA in service delivery is met
• Coordinate and maintain good working relationships with bank counterparts to broker services and solutions for the existing base and other untapped base/s; as applicable; understand and help find solutions to service issues
• Identify markets and opportunities in the existing base and other possible bank client base; develop and implement strategies for these client bases
• Ensure that targets in premiums, commissions, profitability, and other KRAs are met
• Cross-sells other insurance products to increase production

Administrative

• Manage CBG Motor New and Renewal Business teams including the overseeing and supervision of day to day activities
• Maintains and monitors masterlist of all renewal/new business accounts in coordination with CBG, Bbg Branches, CBG Processing and insurance company
• Prepare renewal monitoring and/or other relevant reports
• Consistently monitor processes and results, identify areas for improvement, and document and implement process improvements, including any required system enhancement
• Coordinate with other sections within the unit and other units within the company and the bank to resolve strategic and day to day issues
• Ensure that brokering and operational procedures are followed, including those related to the Unit’s function as written in PPCs and company policies and procedures.
• Ensure that errors and omissions are eliminated through all of the above

People Development

• Appraise / coach / counsel individual and team performance on a periodic and mandatory basis.
• Conduct training needs analysis on the team members and ensure that these training needs are met.
• Develop and implement a talent development plan for immediate team that identifies key talents and maps their competency matrices; including action plans to address deficiencies and recognize good performance.

Others

• Performs other related duties as may be assigned by immediate superior or senior management from time to time.
• Assists the Unit Head in planning, leading, organizing and allocating team resources, and monitoring deliverables.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree holder
• at least 8 years of experience in a similar role

Interested candidates must be willing to work onsite daily in Ortigas or Makati.
