Qualifications

• Proven experience as Bartender and/or Barista in hospitality/food service.
• Knowledge of cocktail recipes, mixing techniques and spirit classifications.
• Proficient with espresso machines and coffee equipment.
• Excellent customer service skills and ability to stay calm under pressure.
• Strong hygiene standards and attention to detail.
• Flexible availability including evenings, weekends and holidays.
• Good communication and ability to work well in a team.
• Bartending certification or relevant qualification preferred.

Responsibilities

About the role

Andorra El Nido Leisure Corp is seeking an enthusiastic and skilled Bartender / Barista to join our team in El Nido, Palawan. This is a full-time position that combines the art of mixology with the craft of coffee preparation in our vibrant hospitality setting. As a Bartender / Barista, you will be at the heart of our guest experience, crafting quality beverages whilst delivering exceptional customer service in a dynamic and fast-paced environment. This role is integral to creating memorable experiences for our guests and maintaining the high standards our establishment is known for.

Key responsibilities

• Prepare and serve a wide variety of alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages with accuracy and flair, ensuring consistency in quality and presentation

• Craft specialty coffee drinks and hot beverages using professional espresso machines and other equipment, maintaining high standards of preparation

• Take customer orders efficiently and provide knowledgeable recommendations on menu items, spirits, wines, and coffee selections

• Maintain a clean, organised and hygienic bar and beverage station, following all health and safety protocols

• Monitor stock levels of spirits, mixers, coffee beans and other supplies, alerting management when replenishment is needed

• Operate the point-of-sale system accurately, processing payments and managing cash or card transactions

• Engage with guests in a friendly and professional manner, building rapport and ensuring customer satisfaction

• Collaborate with kitchen and front-of-house staff to ensure seamless service delivery

• Maintain knowledge of current beverage trends and be able to suggest creative drink options to guests

What we're looking for

• Proven experience working as a Bartender and/or Barista in a hospitality or food service environment

• Strong knowledge of cocktail recipes, mixing techniques, and spirit classifications

• Proficiency in operating espresso machines and other coffee preparation equipment

• Ability to work flexible hours, including evenings, weekends and public holidays as required

• Physical stamina to stand for extended periods and lift moderately heavy items
