Job summary

CVJR Builders, through Caishen Skydeck Pickleball in Silang Cavite, seeks a skilled Barista to join our cafe team. The role is full-time, focusing on crafting beverages, serving customers, and maintaining a clean, welcoming environment.

The ideal candidate has proven café experience, knowledge of coffee varieties and brewing techniques, and strong customer service skills. NCII certification is a plus and flexibility to work varied shifts is required.

Qualifications

• Proven experience as a Barista or similar beverage service role.
• Strong knowledge of coffee varieties, brewing techniques and espresso machine operation.
• Excellent customer service skills with composure under pressure.
• Attention to detail and commitment to high beverage standards.
• Ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment with good communication.
• Food safety certification or willingness to obtain one.
• NCII certification is a plus.
• Previous experience in a Coffee Shop environment is advantageous.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and serve hot and cold beverages and light foods.
• Operate coffee equipment (espresso machines, grinders, brewers).
• Greet customers and promote menu options.
• Restock supplies and maintain cleanliness of the cafe.

About the role

We are looking for an enthusiastic and skilled Barista to join the team at Caishen Skydeck Pickleball, a sister company by CVJR Builders in Silang Cavite. This is a full-time position where you will be responsible for preparing and serving beverages to our clients, employees, and visitors. As a Barista, you will be a key part of our hospitality offering, creating memorable experiences through exceptional coffee preparation and customer service. This role is essential to maintaining the welcoming atmosphere at our facility and ensuring that all guests are treated with professionalism and care.

Key responsibilities

• Preparing and serving hot and cold beverages, such as coffee, espresso drinks, blended coffees and teas
• Preparing and serving food items such as soups, sandwiches and pastries
• Operating coffee equipment, including espresso machines, grinders and brewers
• Greeting customers when they enter the building
• Building relationships with customers and promoting and recommending menu options to customers
• Restocking supplies, such as cups, lids, coffee beans, syrups and pastries
• Making drinks according to company recipes and standards
• Keeping the work environment and cafe seating area clean, sanitary and organized
• Cleaning countertops and behind the counter, including the coffee grinders, decanters or milk frothers
• Working the point-of-sale (POS) system to complete transactions
• Assisting with opening and closing duties, including setup, cleaning and inventory tasks

What we're looking for

• Proven experience as a Barista or in a similar beverage service role within the hospitality industry
• Strong knowledge of coffee varieties, brewing techniques, and espresso machine operation
• Excellent customer service skills with the ability to remain calm and professional under pressure
• Attention to detail and commitment to maintaining high standards in beverage preparation
• Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment and multitask effectively
• Good communication skills and a friendly, approachable demeanor
• Physical ability to stand for extended periods and lift moderate weights
• Flexibility to work various shifts, including early mornings if required
• Food safety certification or willingness to obtain one
• Previous experience in Coffee Shop environment would be advantageous
• NCII Certified preferably an advantage
