Position Summary
The Automation Developer I will provide automation development expertise to REPH and supported Business Units, with strong focus on Microsoft Power Platform, including Power Apps, Power Automate, Power BI, and related Microsoft ecosystem capabilities. The role will be responsible for designing, developing, testing, deploying, maintaining, and troubleshooting automation solutions that improve operational efficiency, reduce manual effort, and support scalable digital transformation initiatives. This role will work closely with DXO leaders, Automation Supervisors, business stakeholders, SMEs, infrastructure, security, and product teams to deliver secure, well-documented, and production-ready automation solutions.
Key Roles and Responsibilities
Power Platform Solution Development
- Design, develop, configure, test, and deploy automation solutions using Microsoft Power Platform, including Power Apps, Power Automate, and Power BI.
- Build end-to-end business applications, workflow automations, approval flows, dashboards, and reporting solutions based on approved business requirements.
- Develop Canvas Apps and/or Model-driven Apps where appropriate to support business and operational use cases.
- Build Power Automate cloud flows and desktop flows to automate repetitive, rules-based, and process-driven activities.
- Create Power BI dashboards and reports to support operational visibility, performance monitoring, and business decision-making.
Automation Lifecycle Delivery
- Support and execute key phases of the automation lifecycle, particularly solution design, development, testing, deployment, monitoring, maintenance, and troubleshooting.
- Translate process requirements, user stories, and business needs into working automation solutions.
- Perform unit testing, support user acceptance testing, resolve defects, and ensure automation solutions are ready for production release.
- Monitor deployed automation solutions and troubleshoot issues across development, UAT, and production environments.
- Maintain change history, deployment notes, technical documentation, and support materials.
Integration and Data Connectivity
- Integrate Power Platform solutions with enterprise systems, SharePoint, Excel, Dataverse, SQL/databases, APIs, connectors, and other approved data sources.
- Configure standard connectors and support integration requirements where business processes span multiple systems or applications.
- Support automation scenarios involving data collection, workflow routing, approval management, notifications, reporting, and operational tracking.
- Ensure data flows are reliable, secure, and aligned with business and technical requirements.
Governance, Security, and Compliance
- Ensure all automation solutions follow enterprise governance, security, data privacy, and compliance requirements before production release.
- Build solutions within approved Power Platform environments and follow required access, environment, release, and governance processes.
- Document solution design, access requirements, data sources, dependencies, risks, and control considerations.
- Apply reusable, maintainable, and auditable development practices in accordance with IT and automation standards.
Stakeholder Collaboration
- Work closely with OPEX leaders, Automation Supervisors, operations teams, SMEs, business stakeholders, infrastructure, security, and product teams.
- Participate in requirements gathering, process review, solution design, development, testing, UAT, deployment, and post-production support.
- Communicate solution progress, risks, blockers, dependencies, and technical considerations clearly to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
- Support visibility of automation pipeline activities and provide project updates as required.
Documentation and Knowledge Sharing
- Prepare and maintain technical documentation, including process flows, solution design documents, configuration details, deployment steps, user guides, runbooks, and change logs.
- Support knowledge sharing, training, and enablement activities for business users, offshore teams, or internal automation community members.
- Contribute to reusable components, development standards, and best practices for Power Platform and automation delivery.
- Stay current with Power Platform enhancements, automation trends, and emerging technologies relevant to the role.
Required Technical Skills
- Strong hands‑on experience with Microsoft Power Platform, especially Power Apps, Power Automate, and Power BI.
- Experience building business applications, workflow automations, approval flows, and reporting dashboards.
- Experience integrating solutions with SharePoint, Excel, Dataverse, APIs, databases, enterprise data sources, and standard connectors.
- Strong understanding of workflow automation, process automation, data transformation, and reporting concepts.
- Ability to develop clean, maintainable, well-documented, and production-ready automation solutions.
- Ability to perform effective unit testing, defect
