The role will focus on automating processes within the Microsoft 365 ecosystem, with a particular emphasis on Finance and HR workflows, including automation connected to Dynamics 365 Finance. This is a hands-on role for someone who can take business
requirements, turn them into robust automated workflows, and provide ongoing support, governance and improvement once automations are live.
Designing, developing and deploying automations using Microsoft Power Automate.
Building automated workflows across Microsoft 365 applications, including SharePoint, Teams, Outlook, Excel, Forms and related Microsoft services.
Creating and managing automations connected to Dynamics 365 Finance, including finance process automation, approvals, data movement, reconciliations, notifications and exception handling.
Supporting automation opportunities across Finance, HR, Operations and other back-office functions.
Working with business users to understand current processes, identify automation opportunities and translate requirements into practical automation solutions.
Monitoring live automations to ensure they are running correctly, with clear exception handling, alerts and escalation routes.
Maintaining automation documentation, including process designs, workflow logic, dependencies, credentials, owners and support notes.
Managing changes, fixes and enhancements to existing automations.
Ensuring automations are built in a secure, scalable and controlled way, aligned to Microsoft best practice and internal governance.
Supporting reporting on automation performance, process volumes, issues, benefits and improvement opportunities.
Strong hands-on experience developing automations using Microsoft Power Automate.
Proven experience automating within the Microsoft 365 environment.
Direct experience building automations involving Dynamics 365 Finance. This is essential.
Experience working with finance, HR or other back-office business processes.
Good understanding of workflow automation, approvals, triggers, connectors, data flows and exception handling.
Ability to work with business stakeholders to gather requirements and convert them into working automation solutions.
Experience monitoring, supporting and improving live automations.
Strong documentation skills and a structured approach to solution design.
Good problem-solving skills and the ability to troubleshoot failed flows, connector issues, permissions and data quality problems.
Ability to work independently as the dedicated automation specialist for the business.
Power Apps, Dataverse or other Power Platform tools.
Power Automate Desktop or RPA-style automation.
AI Builder, Copilot Studio or Microsoft intelligent automation capabilities.
API integrations, custom connectors or data gateway configuration.
Finance process automation, including purchase-to-pay, invoice processing, approvals, vendor management, expenses, reconciliations or reporting.
HR process automation, including onboarding, document handling, employee changes, approvals and notifications.
Working in a global business environment.
