The Solution Designer (Automation & AI) is responsible for translating business requirements, process insights, and transformation objectives into automation-ready and AI-enabled solution designs. The role bridges business intent and technical execution by producing scalable, compliant, and implementation-ready designs for automation, intelligent document processing, AI-assisted workflows, and system integrations. This role ensures that automation and AI initiatives are well-designed upfront, reducing rework, delivery risk, and adoption issues while accelerating value realization across MediCard’s 2026–2028 Transformation roadmap.Roles & Responsibilities Process Architecture and Solution Designing o Translate approved business requirements, process designs, and transformation initiatives into automation-ready solution designs (RPA, AI, IDP, integrations). o Define end-to-end solution architectures, including workflow logic, exception handling, data inputs/outputs, AI components, and system touchpoints. o Design solutions that are scalable, secure, and compliant with MediCard’s architecture, data governance, and regulatory standards. Automation & AI Enablement o Design AI-assisted use cases such as document recognition, classification, validation, chatbot flows, and intelligent routing. o Work closely with AI Specialists to ensure feasibility, explainability, accuracy, and responsible AI usage in solution designs. o Ensure solutions align with enterprise automation standards, reusable components, and platform best practices. Delivery Enablement & Governance o Produce clear, complete, and build-ready design artifacts (solution blueprints, flow diagrams, user stories, acceptance criteria). o Serve as the single point of accountability for solution design quality across automation initiatives. o Support Automation Developers, Integration Engineers, QA, and UAT teams by clarifying design intent and resolving design-related issues. o Participate in design reviews to ensure alignment with compliance, risk, and audit requirements. Stakeholder & Cross-Functional Collaboration o Partner with Business Analysts, Process Engineers, and CI Leads to ensure designs reflect optimized and automation-ready processes. o Collaborate with IT, Architecture, Data Governance, and Security teams to validate technical and data compliance. o Act as a translator between business stakeholders and technical delivery teams, ensuring shared understanding and execution clarity. Continuous Improvement o Standardize solution design templates, patterns, and documentation practices across the Automation & AI COE. o Identify opportunities to reuse components and improve design efficiency across initiatives. o Incorporate lessons learned from QA, UAT, and production issues into improved future designs. KPIs o % of automation initiatives delivered first-time-right with minimal rework o Reduction in design-related defects identified during QA and UAT o % of business requirements successfully translated into build-ready solution designs o Delivery cycle time improvement due to clear and standardized solution designs o Adoption rate of standardized design templates and patterns
