Job summary

Peak Outsourcing, Inc. is seeking an experienced Payroll Officer to join our team on a full-time basis. The role centers on end-to-end payroll with a hands-on approach and includes broader HR responsibilities across the employee lifecycle.

Ideal candidates will have at least 1 year of Australian payroll experience, strong knowledge of Australian payroll legislation and Modern Awards, and proficiency with payroll systems and HRIS. Excel and attention to detail are essential.

Qualifications

• End-to-end payroll experience in Australia.
• Knowledge of Australian payroll legislation and Modern Awards.
• Experience calculating overtime, allowances, penalties and leave entitlements.
• Experience using payroll and HRIS systems.
• Attention to detail and payroll reconciliation skills.
• Strong Excel and organizational skills.
• Ability to meet strict payroll deadlines.
• HR administration experience is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Process and support end-to-end payroll.
• Review timesheets, overtime, allowances, leave, deductions and employee changes.
• Complete payroll reconciliations and reporting.
• Respond to employee payroll enquiries and resolve discrepancies.
• Maintain accurate payroll and HRIS data.
• Ensure payroll compliance with legislation, Modern Awards and employment conditions.
• Support recruitment, onboarding and offboarding.
• Prepare contracts, variations and other employee documentation, and provide general HR support.
• Support HRIS/payroll system improvements and HR projects.
