Job summary

Ubiquity seeks an Associate Systems Engineer to help design, implement, and support reliable IT infrastructure. You will work on Linux and Windows environments, support cloud platforms, and contribute to automation efforts across the Operations and Technology Team.

The role requires strong scripting skills, experience with virtualization, monitoring tools, and on-call rotation for 24/7 operations. On-site in BGC, Taguig, with opportunities to grow professionally.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 3 years of experience in systems administration and engineering roles.
• At least 3 years of hands-on experience with Linux environments; distros include Debian, Ubuntu, Amazon Linux, or RHEL 7.
• Experience with cloud environments, preferably AWS/Azure.
• Knowledge of Cisco Umbrella or similar security tools.
• Experience performing maintenance on front end/middleware applications.
• Experience with VPN servers.
• 3+ years of Windows Server 2016/2019, Active Directory, DNS, and GPOs.
• Familiarity with WSUS patch management.
• Familiarity with monitoring/logging tools (Grafana, Zabbix).
• Understanding PCI compliance requirements.
• Experience with virtualization (VMware ESXi, Proxmox).
• Proficiency with Bash and PowerShell scripting.
• Interest in automation and experience with Ansible.
• Strong networking concepts (Layer 1-3, VLANs, routing).
• Strong analytical and troubleshooting skills.
• Excellent communication and collaboration skills; fluent English.
• Familiarity with ServiceDesk Plus.
• Nice to have: Remote management applications.
• Willingness to work on-site in BGC, Taguig.

Responsibilities

• Contribute to continuous improvement of system design and infrastructure for reliability and scalability.
• Provide system administration support to the Operations and Technology Team, including issue resolution.
• Identify vulnerabilities and performance gaps and implement improvements.
• Design, develop, and maintain automation solutions to improve efficiency.
• Be on-call for 24/7 Systems Operations, responding to critical incidents.
• Perform regular maintenance of software applications and operating systems.
• Prepare and maintain technical documentation, change records, and system proposals.
