Job summary

Paperspace Asia is seeking an experienced Assistant Project Manager to lead end-to-end interior fit-out projects—from pre-construction to handover—driving strategies, cost planning, and execution in a fast-paced design-and-build environment.

You will coordinate MEPF systems, manage procurement and subcontractor negotiations, and ensure timelines, quality, and safety across site teams, with travel to project sites as required.

Qualifications

• 10+ years of experience in interior fit-out projects.
• Experience in corporate workplace, commercial, or retail fit-outs.
• Proven ability to manage end-to-end project lifecycle.

Responsibilities

• Lead interior fit-out projects end-to-end from planning through handover.

About the role

Paperspace Asia is looking for an experienced Assistant Project Manager who can lead and strategise interior fit-out projects from end to end—from pre-construction and cost planning through site execution, closeout, and final handover.

Key responsibilities

• Lead interior fit-out projects end-to-end from planning and pre-construction through execution and handover
• Develop project strategies, programmes, milestones, and delivery plans
• Manage project timelines and proactively address delays, risks, and dependencies
• Drive cost strategy, budgeting, cost control, and value engineering
• Lead negotiations with subcontractors, suppliers, and vendors
• Manage procurement, quotations, variations, and project-related costs
• Coordinate designers, architects, MEPF consultants, subcontractors, suppliers, clients, and other stakeholders
• Oversee site progress, quality, safety, and compliance with drawings and specifications
• Lead project meetings and drive the timely resolution of site and technical issues
• Manage punch listing, closeout documentation, and final client handover

About you

• At least 10 years of relevant project/construction experience, with substantial hands‑on experience in interior fit-out projects
• Strong experience in corporate workplace, commercial, or retail fit-outs
• Proven ability to manage the full end-to-end project lifecycle
• Strong understanding of MEPF systems and construction coordination
• Hands‑on experience in cost strategy, procurement, tendering, value engineering, and subcontractor negotiations
• Strong project scheduling and timeline management skills
• Strong leadership, negotiation, stakeholder management, and problem‑solving capabilities
• Highly organised, detail‑oriented, and able to work independently
• Comfortable working in a fast‑paced, collaborative design-and-build environment
• Willing to travel to project sites as required
