Job summary

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in engineering is required.
• 7+ years total experience with at least 5 years in supervision in manufacturing.
• Ability to read and interpret blueprints/engineering drawings.
• Strong knowledge of ISO 9001:2015 and data-driven Kaizen tools.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office applications.

Responsibilities

• Develops strategy to meet company goals by aligning KPIs for Supervisors and Assembly line workers.
• Plans and monitors assembly line activities to meet output targets.
• Coordinates with other departments on production schedules, requirements and shipment prioritization.
• Analyzes records to upgrade procedures and minimize defects using monitoring tools (Oracle/Shop Clock).
• Conducts regular line patrols to ensure compliance with rules and procedures.
• Identifies and fixes bottlenecks to maximize production efficiency.
• Monitors material and tool inventories to ensure availability.
• Plans training for manufacturing staff and evaluates performance.
• Assesses manpower requirements based on production plan.
• Investigates issues and implements corrective and preventive actions.
• Counsels erring employees per company policies.
• Participates in creating and enforcing company policies.
• Initiates 5S and continuous improvement activities.
• Enforces safety standards and proper PPE use.
• Supports other departments with manpower for company activities.
• Performs other duties as assigned by supervisor.

Job Description

1. Develops strategy to ensure company defined goals and objectives are met by incorporating goals in the KPI of Supervisors and Assembly line workers.
2. Plans and monitors the activities in the Assembly line to ensure that the required production output is met.
3. Closely coordinates with the other departments on production schedules, requirements and shipment prioritization.
4. Analyzes records and use it in conducting studies in the formulation of new operation rules and procedures in order to upgrade manufacturing efficiency and minimize production of defective parts by using the soft copy monitoring, Oracle or Shop Clock whichever is applicable.
5. Conducts regular line patrol to ensure that the production line and activities are in accordance with the established rules and documented procedures.
6. Identifies and fixes work flow bottlenecks to ensure that production is working at maximum efficiency.
7. Monitors material and tool inventories in the production floor. Ensures availability of the required materials at any given time.
8. Plan the training of manufacturing staffs and team members, evaluates their performance. Offers advices on ways and plans to achieve their goals.
9. Assess and recommends manpower requirement based on production plan to ensure that required output is achieved.
10. Conducts investigation, recommends corrective and preventive actions to production and quality issues and concerns.
11. Provides counseling to erring employees to meet good working relationship guided by the company rules, regulations and policies.
12. Participates in the creation of company policies and ensures that all the policies are strictly enforced and complied with.
13. Initiates 5’s and continuous improvement by engaging the team members to improve efficiency and good working condition in the production area.
14. Enforces workplace safety standards, proper tool and PPE (Personnel Protective Equipment) use to ensure safe working production environment.
15. Supports other service departments by providing them with manpower especially on company related activities such as company outings, scheduled inventory count, Christmas party etc.
16. Performs other duties as may be required by the superior.

QUALIFICATIONS

Education

Bachelor’s degree or preferably any related Engineering degree.

Experience

Minimum of seven (7) years of work experience, with at least five (5) years at the supervisory level or above, preferably in a manufacturing environment.

Skill/ Technical Requirements

• Computer literate
• Knowledge on Microsoft Office
• Familiarization with IS0 9001: 2015 as well as appropriate statistical tools
• Ability to read and interpret blueprints/ Engineering drawing
• Knowledge of use common and pneumatic tools, and measuring instruments
• Familiarization with 7 QC tools; can interpret and make it as a guide in implementing data driven Kaizen
• With Technical Troubleshooting and Continuous Improvement Initiatives
• Excellent interpersonal, oral and written communication skills
• Ability to engage and lead the team to meet team and company set goals
