The Assistant HR Manager supports the HR Manager in executing day-to-day HR operations, helping to implement HR strategies and initiatives aligned with the company’s goals. This role assists in managing recruitment, employee relations, compensation, training, and organizational development while ensuring compliance with labor regulations and internal policies.
Key Responsibilities
1. Recruitment & Workforce Planning
- Assist in managing high-volume recruitment efforts to support staffing needs.
- Coordinate with manpower agencies and internal teams to meet hiring targets.
- Support the onboarding and orientation process for new hires.
- Help track and maintain manpower planning records in coordination with department heads.
2. Employee Relations & Labor Compliance
- Support the implementation of employee relations programs and processes.
- Assist in addressing employee concerns, investigations, and disciplinary actions in accordance with labor laws and company policies.
- Help ensure compliance with statutory requirements (SSS, PhilHealth, Pag-IBIG) and labor laws.
- Coordinate with government agencies and assist in preparing documentation for audits or hearings.
3. Compensation, Benefits & Payroll Support
- Assist in conducting salary benchmarking and reviewing compensation structures.
- Coordinate with the payroll team to ensure accurate and timely processing.
- Support the administration and enhancement of employee benefits programs.
4. Performance Management & Development Support
- Assist in the rollout and monitoring of performance evaluation processes.
- Help coordinate employee development and training programs.
- Support initiatives related to career progression and productivity improvement.
5. Training & Organizational Development
- Help organize and monitor training sessions, including tracking attendance and feedback.
- Assist in implementing leadership and skills development programs.
- Contribute to evaluating training effectiveness and recommending improvements.
6. HR Policy Implementation & Compliance Monitoring
- Support the maintenance and dissemination of updated HR policies and SOPs.
- Assist in conducting internal HR audits and ensure compliance across teams.
- Provide guidance to employees on HR procedures and labor-related concerns.
7. Employee Engagement & Culture Building
- Coordinate employee engagement activities, recognition programs, and wellness initiatives.
- Help organize company events, team-building activities, and communication campaigns that promote a positive work culture.
8. HR Reporting & Administrative Support
- Prepare HR-related reports and metrics, including attendance, turnover, and recruitment status.
- Maintain organized employee records and documentation.
- Support strategic planning by providing relevant data and administrative assistance to the HR Manager.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, Psychology, or related field.
- At least 2–4 years of HR experience, preferably in a generalist or supervisory role.
- Familiarity with Philippine labor laws and HR practices.
- Strong communication, coordination, and problem-solving skills.
- Proficiency in MS Office and HR systems is an advantage.
- High attention to detail and ability to handle confidential information with discretion.
