Job summary

Travelodge Hotels Asia is seeking a Project Director (Asia) to lead design, procurement, and construction for hospitality projects across the Asia portfolio. Based in Singapore, you will report to the Head of Hotel Asset Management and drive value while ensuring on-time delivery for diverse asset types.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management, Civil/Structural Engineering, Architecture, Project Management, or related field.
• 10–12 years of progressive hospitality project management experience, with at least 5 years in a regional/multi-country Asia context.
• Proven success in managing external PM firms, general contractors, and local on-site construction managers across Asia.
• Experience delivering greenfield builds, hotel asset conversions, and complex refurbishments within live operations.

Responsibilities

• Lead design, procurement, and construction delivery of hospitality real estate initiatives across Asia.
• Oversee external PM firms, construction managers, and coordinators regionally.
• Establish KPI reporting frameworks for transparency across sites.
• Identify and flag potential construction, supply chain, or design delays early.
• Present data-driven recovery plans to senior leadership to resolve bottlenecks.
• Maintain a regional risk register covering labor, materials, and regulatory changes.
• Set briefs, milestones, and budgets for multi-site projects.
• Direct architects, interior designers, and MEP consultants through SD/DD/CD stages.
• Oversee bidding and contracts for main contractors and FF&E/OS&E vendors.
• Coordinate with Singapore HQ, asset owners, and hotel brand operators.
• Enforce phased, low-impact construction for active hotels to protect revenues.
• Streamline PIPs to ensure smooth brand transitions.
