Job summary

Questronix Corporation in Metro Manila seeks an L2 support specialist for IBM AS/400 / IBM i systems. You will monitor health, subsystems, queues, and batch schedules, and perform incident troubleshooting and root cause analysis.

Qualifications

Hands-on experience with IBM AS/400 / IBM i and OS/400.
Strong knowledge of job control, subsystems, job queues, and message queues.
Experience with RPG/RPGLE and CL/CLLE; COBOL is a plus.
DB2 for i fundamentals and basic SQL query skills.
Experience with schedulers (Control-M, Tivoli) and ticketing tools (ServiceNow, Jira).
Understanding of batch vs online processing and Dev/UAT/Prod environments.
Knowledgeable with MIMIX and basic Linux/Windows awareness.
Basic networking and OS familiarity relevant to enterprise systems.

Qualifications

At least 1 to 2 years of hands-on experience with IBM AS/400 / IBM i and OS/400
Strong knowledge of job control, subsystems, job queues, and message queues
Experience with spool file management, performance monitoring, and licensing
L2 application support experience in production environments
Basic knowledge of RPG/RPGLE and CL/CLLE (COBOL is a plus)
DB2 for i fundamentals and basic SQL query skills
Experience with schedulers (Control-M, Tivoli) and ticketing tools (ServiceNow, Jira)
Understanding of batch vs online processing and Dev/UAT/Prod environments
