Job summary

AVENSYS CONSULTING INC. is seeking a network engineer to design, deploy, and manage Riverbed Steelhead appliances, Cisco routing/switching, and WAN optimization across LAN, WAN, and data center environments.

You will monitor network health using SolarWinds, ThousandEyes, and The Dude, diagnose bottlenecks, and resolve outages promptly. The role requires at least 2 years of experience, Riverbed Steelhead/RIOS/RS WAN Optimizer skills, and on-call availability.

Qualifications

• At least 2 years of network engineering experience.
• Must have Riverbed Steelhead, RIOS, RS WAN Optimizer skills.
• Available for 24/7 on-call support for P1/P2 incidents.

Responsibilities

• Design, deploy, and manage Riverbed Steelhead appliances and Cisco routing/switching solutions.
• Enhance application acceleration, network performance, and security across LAN, WAN, and data center environments.
• Utilize monitoring tools to provide end-to-end visibility and proactively monitor network health (SolarWinds, ThousandEyes, The Dude).
• Troubleshoot performance bottlenecks and outages quickly.
• Manage all network-related incidents, problems, and changes using ServiceNow.
• Perform regular maintenance and participate in on-call rotations.
• Develop and maintain comprehensive network documentation including diagrams and procedures.

About the role

You will utilize performance monitoring tools to provide end-to-end visibility, proactively monitor network health, and rapidly troubleshoot performance bottlenecks and outages. You will manage all network-related incidents, problems, and changes using ServiceNow, perform regular maintenance, participate in on-call rotations, and conduct root cause analysis.

Key responsibilities

• Design, deploy, and manage Riverbed Steelhead appliances and complex Cisco routing/switching solutions
• Enhance application acceleration, network performance, and security across LAN, WAN, and data center environments
• Utilize SolarWinds, ThousandEyes, and The Dude to provide end-to-end visibility and proactively monitor network health
• Rapidly troubleshoot performance bottlenecks and outages
• Manage all network-related incidents, problems, and changes using ServiceNow
• Perform regular maintenance and participate in on-call rotations
• Conduct root cause analysis
• Develop and maintain comprehensive network documentation, including diagrams and procedures
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure seamless IT operations

About you

• At least 2 years' experience

• Available for 24/7 on-call support for P1/P2 incidents

No. of hours per week: 45hrs/week

Shift Schedule: M-F
Opening: 6:00 AM - 4:00 PM or Closing: 8:00 AM - 6:00 PM

Work Set up [Hybrid/WFH/RTO: Hybrid | 2x RTO a week.
RTO Schedule: Tuesday and Wednesday
