Job summary

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent combination of education and relevant experience.
• At least 2 years of hands-on experience with Riverbed SteelHead.
• Strong experience with Riverbed RIOS and RS WAN Optimizer.
• Experience in WAN optimization and network application support.
• Knowledge of network performance monitoring and troubleshooting.
• Experience with Cisco routing and switching.
• Experience using network monitoring tools such as SolarWinds, ThousandEyes, or The Dude is preferred.
• Experience with ServiceNow (SNOW) for incident, problem, and change management.

About the role

The ideal candidate must have at least 2 years of hands-on experience with Riverbed SteelHead, RIOS, and RS WAN Optimizer. This role combines WAN optimization, network engineering, application performance monitoring, incident management, and technical troubleshooting.

Key responsibilities

• Design, deploy, configure, and manage Riverbed SteelHead appliances and WAN optimization solutions.
• Administer and troubleshoot Riverbed SteelHead, RIOS, and RS WAN Optimizer environments.
• Monitor and optimize application performance across LAN, WAN, and data center environments.
• Support complex Cisco routing and switching environments as required.
• Analyze network and application performance to identify bottlenecks, latency issues, and service disruptions.
• Utilize network monitoring and visibility tools such as SolarWinds, ThousandEyes, and The Dude.
• Proactively monitor network health and troubleshoot performance issues and outages.
• Manage network-related incidents, problems, and changes using ServiceNow (SNOW).
• Perform root cause analysis and implement corrective and preventive actions.
• Conduct regular network maintenance and operational activities.

About you
