Job summary

Xurpas, Inc. is a Philippines-based tech firm seeking a network engineer to design, deploy, and manage Riverbed Steelhead appliances and Cisco routing/switching to boost performance and application acceleration.

You will monitor with SolarWinds, ThousandEyes, and The Dude; troubleshoot, resolve bottlenecks, and lead incident management using SNOW.

You'll document networks, support cross-functional teams, and participate in on-call rotations to ensure reliable services.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 2 years of relevant experience in network engineering and WAN optimization.
• Strong understanding of LAN/WAN technologies and enterprise networking concepts.
• Experience supporting production networks and handling critical incidents.
• Cisco routing and switching; network monitoring and troubleshooting.
• Nice-to-have: SolarWinds, ThousandEyes, The Dude, and ServiceNow (SNOW).

Responsibilities

Job description

• Design, deploy, configure, and manage Riverbed Steelhead appliances and Cisco routing/switching solutions to improve network performance and application acceleration.
• Monitor and analyze network performance using tools such as SolarWinds, ThousandEyes, and The Dude.
• Troubleshoot network issues, identify bottlenecks, and perform root cause analysis to minimize downtime and improve service reliability.
• Manage network-related incidents, problems, and change requests using ServiceNow (SNOW).
• Perform routine maintenance activities and participate in on-call support rotations for critical incidents (P1/P2).
• Develop and maintain accurate network documentation, including diagrams, configurations, and operational procedures.
• Collaborate with cross-functional IT teams to support business and operational requirements.

Qualifications:
