Job summary

Asticom Technology Inc is seeking a Network Engineer to design, deploy, and support WAN optimization and Cisco routing/switching across LAN, WAN, and data center environments.

You will monitor performance with SolarWinds, ThousandEyes, and The Dude, handle incidents via ITSM processes, and maintain thorough network documentation with cross-functional teams. Expect on-call rotations and ownership of network health.

Qualifications

• Minimum 2+ years of WAN optimization and network engineering experience.
• Experience deploying Riverbed Steelhead appliances and Cisco routing/switching.
• Proficient in using monitoring tools (SolarWinds, ThousandEyes, The Dude) for performance visibility.

Responsibilities

• Design, deploy, and manage WAN optimization and Cisco routing/switching solutions.
• Monitor network health end-to-end using SolarWinds, ThousandEyes, and The Dude.
• Manage IT service incidents and changes using ITSM processes; maintain docs and diagrams.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure reliable IT operations.

Job Description:

• WAN Optimization & Network Engineering: Designed, deployed, and managed Riverbed Steelhead appliances and complex Cisco routing/switching solutions to enhance application acceleration, network performance, and security across LAN, WAN, and data center environments.

• Performance Monitoring & Analysis: Utilized SolarWinds, ThousandEyes, and The Dude to provide end-to-end visibility, proactively monitor network health, and rapidly troubleshoot performance bottlenecks and outages.

• IT Service Management & Operations: Managed all network-related incidents, problems, and changes using ServiceNow (SNOW). Performed regular maintenance, participated in on-call rotations, and conducted root cause analysis.

Documentation & Collaboration: Developed and maintained comprehensive network documentation, including diagrams and procedures, while collaborating with cross-functional teams to ensure seamless IT operations.
