Job summary

Accenture in the Philippines is seeking an Application Support Engineer to troubleshoot and resolve issues across core business systems from our Cebu office. The role requires independent problem solving, proactive monitoring, and collaboration with cross-functional teams to maintain service continuity.

You will diagnose complex incidents, contribute to deployment and patch processes, and help build a robust knowledge base from resolved cases.

Qualifications

• Expertise in cloud infrastructure and service models (IaaS, PaaS, SaaS).
• Strong knowledge of cloud security best practices and compliance.
• Familiarity with automation tools and scripting for cloud operations.
• Troubleshoot and optimize cloud-based applications and services.
• Understanding of network architecture and virtualization in cloud environments.
• AWS and Azure administration (advanced).
• Windows/Linux administration (intermediate).
• Basic network administration (intermediate).

Act as software detectives, provide a dynamic service identifying and solving issues within multiple components of critical business systems.

Summary: As an Application Support Engineer, you will spend your day investigating and resolving issues across various components of essential business systems. Your role involves continuous monitoring, diagnosing problems, and ensuring the smooth operation of software applications to support business continuity. You will collaborate with different teams to maintain system reliability and contribute to improving service quality.

Roles & Responsibilities:

• Expected to perform independently and become an SME.
• Required active participation/contribution in team discussions.
• Contribute in providing solutions to work related problems.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify root causes and implement effective solutions.
• Document troubleshooting steps and resolutions to build a knowledge base for future reference.
• Monitor system performance and proactively address potential issues before they impact users.
• Assist in the deployment and configuration of software updates and patches.
• Support continuous improvement initiatives by providing feedback and suggestions based on operational experience.

Professional & Technical Skills:

• Required Skill: Expert proficiency in Cloud Infrastructure.
• Strong understanding of cloud service models, including infrastructure as a service, platform as a service, and software as a service.
• Experience with cloud security best practices and compliance standards.
• Familiarity with automation tools and scripting to streamline cloud operations.
