Job summary

Capgemini in the Philippines seeks an API Technical Lead to guide design, development, testing, deployment and support of APIs and integration solutions within an Agile squad. You will ensure alignment with enterprise architecture, API governance and security standards while driving technical excellence.

You'll lead cross-functional teams, mentor engineers, and shape scalable API programs using REST, microservices and modern DevOps practices across cloud platforms such as Azure, AWS or GCP.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, IT, Engineering, or related field.
• 8+ years of software engineering and integration experience.
• 3+ years in a Technical Lead or Solution Lead role.
• Experience delivering APIs, microservices, enterprise integrations, and Agile projects.

Responsibilities

• Design scalable API and integration solutions aligned with business and architectural requirements.
• Lead API development, provide technical guidance, and enforce design and coding standards.
• Govern architecture, API lifecycle management, integration patterns, and technology decisions.
• Support Agile delivery through backlog refinement, technical estimation, sprint planning, and risk management.
• Ensure solution quality through code reviews, automated testing, security, performance, scalability, and reliability practices.
• Drive DevOps, CI/CD, release management, monitoring, observability, and production support.
• Mentor engineering teams and promote continuous improvement, knowledge sharing, and reusable frameworks.

Your Role

Your Profile

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, IT, Engineering, or related field.
• 8+ years of software engineering and integration experience.
• 3+ years in a Technical Lead or Solution Lead role.
• Experience delivering APIs, microservices, enterprise integrations, and Agile projects.
• Proven leadership of cross-functional and distributed teams.

Technical Skills

• REST APIs, OpenAPI/Swagger, API Lifecycle Management, Microservices, Event-Driven Architecture, SOA, and Integration Patterns.
• API platforms such as MuleSoft, Apigee, Kong, or Azure API Management.
• Cloud and DevOps: Azure, AWS, GCP, Kubernetes, CI/CD, GitHub/GitLab, Jenkins, and Infrastructure as Code.
• Engineering practices including Secure Coding, Test Automation, DevSecOps, Observability, Performance Optimization, and Release Management.
• Key Competencies Technical Leadership, API Design, Solution Architecture, Stakeholder Management, Problem Solving, Governance, Collaboration, Continuous Improvement, and Engineering Excellence.
• Preferred Certifications MuleSoft, API Design, TOGAF, Agile/Scrum, SAFe, or BIAN certifications.
