Job summary

Visa Philippines Business Processing Center, Corp. seeks an experienced APAC payroll leader to run day-to-day payroll operations, deliver timely payroll, and drive strategic regional projects. The role requires strong leadership and stakeholder management across cross-functional teams.

You will coach junior staff, ensure compliance with local labor laws, and drive process improvements and automation initiatives in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

• 8 or more years of relevant work experience with a Bachelor's Degree.
• Minimum 3 years of people management experience.
• Deep working knowledge in APAC payroll statutory regulations.
• Able to maintain good working relationships with payroll vendors and stakeholders.
• Strong understanding of payroll risks, compliance and controls within complex and multi country environments.
• Proficiencies in automation and use of AI tools.
• Meticulous with strong analytical, organization and planning skills.
• Ability to prioritize, organize and coordinate multiple projects.
• Must be comfortable working in a fast paced, hands on, growth oriented work environment.
• Exposure and knowledge of working with various payroll systems.
• Exposure to knowledge transfer activities such as transition planning, knowledge transfer, process documentation, etcetera.
• Proficient in English communication skills both verbal and written and with customer service and interpersonal skills.
• Candidates with the ability to communicate effectively in spoken and written Mandarin Chinese will have an advantage.

Responsibilities

• Lead and manage day-to-day APAC payroll operations and strategic projects.
• Ensure timely and accurate payroll delivery while complying with local laws.
• Coach and develop junior team members through hands-on leadership.
• Oversee audits and regulatory reporting with government agencies.
• Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders to resolve payroll issues.
• Produce analytics and recommendations to improve efficiency and controls.
• Support knowledge transfer and process documentation across the payroll function.
