Job summary

Visa is seeking a seasoned APAC Payroll Lead to drive daily payroll operations and strategic initiatives across the Asia Pacific region from Manila. You will lead a team, ensure compliance with local labor laws, and partner with internal and external stakeholders to resolve issues and improve efficiency.

The role requires 8+ years in payroll, strong people management, and fluency in English; Mandarin skills are advantageous.

Qualifications

8+ years of relevant work experience with a Bachelor's Degree.
Minimum 3 years of people management experience.
Deep working knowledge in APAC payroll statutory regulations.
Ability to manage payroll vendors and stakeholders.
Strong understanding of payroll risks, compliance and controls.
Proficient in English with strong communication skills.
Knowledge of Mandarin will be an advantage.

Responsibilities

Lead and manage the Asia Pacific payroll operations with day-to-day and strategic initiatives.
Drive process efficiencies and support integration projects from acquisitions.
Coach junior team members and interact with cross-functional leadership.
Ensure timely payroll delivery and compliance with local laws.
Produce analytics to improve overall payroll execution and efficiency.
Oversee audits and compliance documentation for government requirements.
Collaborate with vendors and stakeholders to resolve issues.
