Job summary

Hammerjack Pty Ltd is seeking an experienced Finance Controller for our Australian and Philippine entities. The role requires ownership of month-end close, consolidation, and regulatory compliance, with hands-on management of PAYables/Receivables and cash flow.

You will lead a Manila-based finance team, drive process improvements, and partner with Australian operations to ensure audit-ready reporting. The successful candidate will have CPA qualifications, 6–9 years post-qualification experience

Qualifications

• Certified Public Accountant (Philippines) or equivalent
• Six to nine years post-qualification experience in controllership/finance management
• Proven ownership of month-end close across multiple entities, including intercompany and currency translation
• Experience with statutory tax/compliance and audits in a multinational setup
• Hands-on ownership of accounts payable/receivable and cash management
• Strong ERP and data analytics capability and drive for process improvement (automation)

Responsibilities

• Own month-end, quarter-end and year-end close for Australian and Philippine entities with timely reporting
• Prepare entity-level financial statements and consolidation inputs, including intercompany eliminations
• Manage Philippine tax, VAT, and regulatory filings with documented compliance calendar
• Support Australian entity filings and audits, including coordination with external auditors
• Maintain data quality and reconciliation between source systems and general ledger
• Lead finance systems, processes, and team development including Manila-based staff
• Build driver-based models linking operations to financial outcomes and drive cost improvements
• Deliver management reporting dashboards and automate recurring processes
