Job summary

TP ICAP in Singapore is seeking an APAC AI Lead Engineer – Global Broking to drive AI-enabled productivity for Global Broking desks across APAC. You will partner with brokers, desk heads and business managers to identify high-value opportunities and deliver practical AI solutions that automate workflows and accelerate decision-making.

This role reports to APAC Global Broking leadership with a secondary line to the Global AI Lab, ensuring alignment with architecture, security, risk and governance

Qualifications

• Proven experience in software engineering, AI engineering, automation, data engineering or technology delivery within financial services or another regulated environment.
• Strong practical experience designing and delivering solutions using large language models, AI agents, workflow automation, RAG / knowledge retrieval and API-based integrations.
• Demonstrated ability to work directly with front-office or business users, translating commercial requirements into pragmatic technology solutions.
• Strong understanding of technology governance, architecture review, security-by-design, testing, production deployment and operational support requirements.
• Experience with Python, APIs, cloud platforms, source control, CI/CD and structured documentation.
• Experience with AWS Bedrock, AWS Quick, Microsoft Copilot / M365 integration, Power Platform, Teams, SharePoint, data extraction tools or workflow automation platforms would be advantageous.
• Knowledge of interdealer broking, capital markets, wholesale financial markets would be advantageous.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to engage senior business stakeholders and technical teams.

Responsibilities

• Partner with APAC brokers, desk heads and business managers to identify high-value productivity, automation and workflow improvement opportunities.
• Develop a deep understanding of front-office workflows, desk-specific pain points, information flows and repetitive manual processes.
• Translate business requirements into practical AI, automation and workflow solutions that can be tested, governed and scaled.
• Maintain a prioritised APAC AI opportunity pipeline, including expected benefits, delivery status, dependencies and business ownership.
• Design, prototype and deliver AI-enabled tools, agents, applications and workflow automations using approved TP ICAP platforms and development standards.
• Develop solutions across: broker preparation, market colour aggregation, document automation, research support, data extraction, workflow orchestration and cross-system information retrieval.
• Apply engineering discipline: architecture, code management, documentation, testing, operational support, production-readiness controls & risk management.
• Lead the delivery of APAC AI use cases from discovery to production deployment and desk adoption.
