Job summary

Oman Shell in the Philippines is seeking an Accounts Payable specialist to support the Contracts & Procurement team. You will ensure accurate payments to vendors, maintain strong financial controls, and help deliver reliable financial reporting.

You will process invoices, handle exceptions, respond to vendor inquiries, and analyse data to identify improvement opportunities within the Procure-to-Pay process, while collaborating across functions to strengthen service delivery.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in accounting, Finance, Economics, Business Administration, or related field.
• Experience in Accounts Payable, Finance Operations, or related process environment.
• Strong understanding of Accounts Payable processes, accounting principles, and financial controls.
• Hands-on experience with Salesforce and ERP systems is an advantage.
• Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
• Analytical mindset with strong problem-solving and critical-thinking abilities.
• Proactive, innovative, and open to driving process improvements.
• Well-organized with the ability to manage multiple priorities and deliver results in a fast-paced environment.
• Collaborative team player with a customer-focused approach and strong attention to detail.

Responsibilities

• Process invoices accurately and efficiently while ensuring compliance with company policies, controls, and tax requirements.
• Manage invoice exceptions, vendor inquiries, and vendor master data requests, ensuring timely resolution of issues.
• Analyse operational data, generate insights, and identify opportunities to improve AP processes and performance.
• Act as a SME and first point of escalation for AP-related matters.
• Collaborate with internal stakeholders to enhance service delivery and payment performance.
• Participate in system enhancements, migrations, and digital transformation initiatives that support business objectives.
• Contribute to a high-performing AP DRF team by sharing best practices and prioritizing priorities.
• Promote and uphold Shell's HSSE standards and culture.
