Job summary

Grant Thornton (US) is seeking a senior AP advisory leader to oversee a portfolio of client engagements in the Philippines. You will manage AP processes, drive transformation initiatives, and collaborate with global teams to deliver best-in-class solutions.

The role requires deep expertise in P2P/R2R, strong project leadership, and hands-on experience with SAP S/4HANA, Excel, and BI tools. Excellent communication and client relations are essential.

Qualifications

• Recognised finance or procurement qualification (e.g. ACCA, CPA, ACA, CIPS or equivalent).
• Minimum 5 years’ experience in a Shared Services Centre or multinational environment within P2P, AP, or R2R (AP focus), incl. 2 years in leadership/PM.
• Strong understanding of AP processes: PO compliance, invoice matching, vendor management, payments, reconciliations; knowledge of R2R.
• Proven experience in process improvement, controls optimisation and AP tech implementations.
• Advanced systems expertise, SAP S/4HANA or similar ERP; familiarity with AP/reconciliation tools is a plus.
• Proficient in Excel and reporting platforms (Power BI/Tableau) for performance tracking.
• Ability to manage complex client projects in SSC/consulting environments.
• Excellent communication, interpersonal and client-service orientation.

PRIMARY DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES

• Lead and manage the delivery of AP advisory and managed services across a portfolio of clients.
• Evaluate existing procurement and payables processes, identify pain points and design fit-for-purpose, future-state solutions.
• Oversee vendor onboarding, supplier master data governance, invoice processing, exception handling, and payment run activities for client engagements.
• Support clients in implementing AP process improvements including automation, system enhancements and controls.
• Serve as a trusted advisor to clients, building and maintaining strong working relationships with stakeholders at all levels.
• Lead the design, mobilization and execution of AP transformation projects, including project planning, resource management, and performance tracking.
• Contribute to proposals, client pitches, pricing models and broader business development activity.
• Manage, mentor and coach junior team members, promoting a high-performance culture and fostering continuous learning.
• Liaise with the wider FAAS and GT International teams to bring best-in-class solutions to clients

QUALIFICATIONS

• Recognised finance or procurement qualification (e.g. ACCA, CPA, ACA, CIPS or equivalent).
• Minimum of 5 years’ experience in a Shared Services Centre or multinational environment within P2P, Accounts Payable, or R2R (with an AP focus), including at least 2 years in a leadership or project management role.
• Strong understanding of Accounts Payable processes— including purchase order compliance, invoice matching, vendor management, payment processing, and reconciliations —along with knowledge of broader R2R activities.
• Proven experience in process improvement, controls optimisation, and implementation of AP technologies.
• Advanced systems expertise, particularly with SAP S/4HANA or similar ERP platforms; familiarity with tools supporting AP and reconciliation processes is a distinct advantage.
• Proficient in Excel and exposure to reporting platforms such as Power BI or Tableau, supporting performance tracking, insights generation, and preparing client-ready documentation.
• Demonstrated ability to manage complex client projects or service delivery engagements, ideally within a shared services or consulting environment.
