Job summary

BDO Unibank, Inc. is hiring an Amendment Officer to ensure daily remittance-related functions comply with standards and procedures. You will lead a team to process cancellation/amendment instructions, prepare reports, and oversee proper handling of remittance transactions.

The role requires coordinating with the Remittance System Support and coordinating with departments to meet deadlines and maintain accuracy. Willingness to work holidays, weekends, and graveyard shifts is required.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree holder; business graduates favored.
• At least 3 years of experience in remittance operations.
• Excellent interpersonal and cross-department communication skills.
• Strong leadership and ability to motivate teams.
• Detail-oriented with strong organizational skills.
• Experience in customer service and conflict resolution.
• Willing to work on holidays/weekends.
• Willing to work graveyard shifts (in rotation).

Responsibilities

• Monitor and ensure all cancellation/amendment instructions via email, tested transactions, and/or SWIFT messages from remittance partners are acted upon within the Turn-Around-Time (TAT).
• Prepare and submit remittance volume reports to the immediate officer.
• Check and approve remittance transactions.
• Endorse transactions to the next shift officer for proper handling.
• Disseminate implementation advisories from Marketing Development Officers to the team and file documents.
• Escalate issues to the Remittance System Support team.
• Inform and monitor staff shift schedules, including holidays.

Job Summary

The Amendment Officer is responsible for ensuring that all required daily functions are efficiently accomplished by the team according to the section's standards, policies, and procedures.

Key Responsibilities:

• Monitor and ensure that all cancellation/amendment instructions via email, tested transactions, and/or via SWIFT messages received from remittance partners are acted and replied upon within the agreed Turn-Around-Time (TAT)
• Prepare and submit volume report (remittance-related requests like amendment, cancellation, and inquiries) of remittance partners to immediate officer
• Check and approved remittance transactions
• Properly monitor and endorse all transactions / instructions to the next shift officer for proper handling and implementation
• Handle the consolidation and dissemination of implementation advisories of remittance tie‑ups issued by Marketing Development Officers (MDO) to the team and ensure that documents are properly filed and safe keep for immediate reference
• Escalate issues to immediate officer and report system related issues to Remittance System Support (RSS) team
• Ensure personnel are informed of their shift schedules and monitor their compliance to the assigned schedule including holidays

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's Degree Holder (graduates of Business Degree courses have an advantage)
• At least 3 years of experience in remittance operations (preferred but not required)
• Excellent interpersonal and leadership skills, with an ability to communicate effectively across departments
• Strong ability to motivate team members
• Detail-oriented mindset, excellent organizational skills, and ability to adhere to deadlines
• Experience in customer service and conflict resolution
• Must be willing to work on Holidays / Weekends
• Must be willing to work graveyard shifts (in rotation)
