Job summary

MicroSourcing is seeking an Allocations Officer to join our Finance Department in a hybrid role based in Eastwood, Quezon City. You will be responsible for payment allocation of accounts receivable in a fast-paced, high-volume environment, reporting to the Senior Accounts Receivable Officer.

The ideal candidate has a strong accounting background, analytical mindset, and advanced MS Excel skills (VLOOKUP, Pivot).

Responsibilities

• Extract bank statements and allocate payments to invoices in the accounting system.
• Review and verify payment details and remittance information.
• Resolve discrepancies or unapplied payments by contacting customers or internal teams.
• Maintain accurate records of all payment allocations and adjustments.
• Generate regular reports on payment allocation status and unapplied cash.
• Ensure compliance with policies and accounting standards during allocation and reconciliation.
• Assist in month-end and year-end closing activities for accounts receivable.
• Identify and suggest process improvements to improve accuracy and efficiency.
• Ad-hoc projects and tasks as required.
• Manage Dropbox and distribute emails to relevant team members.

About the Role

Reporting to the Senior Accounts Receivable Officer, the successful candidate will be responsible for payment allocation of accounts receivable in a high‑volume, fast‑paced environment.

Key Responsibilities

• Extract bank statements and allocate incoming customer payments accurately to the corresponding invoices or accounts in the accounting system
• Review and verify payment details such as remittance advice, payment amounts, and customer information
• Resolve discrepancies or unapplied payments by investigating and communicating with customers or internal teams
• Maintain accurate records of all payment allocations and adjustments
• Generate regular reports on payment allocation status and unapplied cash
• Ensure compliance with company policies and accounting standards during allocation and reconciliation
• Assist in month‑end and year‑end closing activities related to accounts receivable
• Identify and suggest process improvements to enhance accuracy and efficiency in payment allocation
• Ad‑hoc projects as required
• Manage Dropbox regularly and distribute e‑mails to relevant team members

Ideal Applicant

• Previous experience in a similar role
• Highly analytical with a strong accounting background
• Must have a “CAN DO” attitude

• Advanced MS Excel skills (VLOOKUP and Pivot)
