MicroSourcing in Eastwood, Quezon City, Manila area, is hiring an Accounts Receivable Specialist for a hybrid, day-shift role within the Finance Department. The successful candidate will handle payment allocation for high-volume AR activities and maintain accurate records.

Reporting to the Senior AR Officer, you will verify remittance details, ensure proper posting, and address unapplied payments while supporting month-end close and process improvements.

Qualifications

• Must have a strong accounting background with analytical skills.
• Excellent communication skills and time-management abilities are required.
• Advanced Excel skills including VLOOKUP and Pivot are essential.

Responsibilities

• Extract and allocate incoming customer payments to invoices or accounts in the accounting system.

Your Role

We are currently seeking an Accounts Receivable Specialist with a positive attitude to join our friendly and dynamic Finance Department. Reporting to the Senior Accounts Receivable Officer, the successful candidate will be responsible for payment allocation of accounts receivable in a high volume and fast‑paced environment.

Key Responsibilities

• Extract and allocate incoming customer payments accurately to the corresponding invoices or accounts in the accounting system to ensure proper recording.
• Review and verify payment details such as remittance advice, payment amounts, and customer information.
• Resolve discrepancies or unapplied payments by investigating and communicating with customers or internal teams.
• Maintain accurate records of all payment allocations and adjustments.
• Generate regular reports on payment allocation status and unapplied cash.
• Ensure compliance with company policies and accounting standards during allocation and reconciliation.
• Assist in month‑end and year‑end closing activities related to accounts receivable.
• Identify and suggest process improvements to enhance accuracy and efficiency in payment allocation.
• Ad hoc projects as required.
• Manage Dropbox on a regular basis and distribute e‑mails to relevant team members.

• Previous experience in a similar role
• Highly analytical with a strong accounting background
• Must have a CAN DO attitude
• Capable of thinking outside the box and taking initiative
• Can work effectively and efficiently with minimal supervision
• Can work under pressure and should always be reliable
• Advanced MS Excel skills (VLOOKUP and Pivot)
• Excellent communication skills
• Ability to prioritise, with excellent time‑management skills
• Willingness to go the extra mile and be a strong team player
