Private Advertiser is seeking an Air-Conditioning Technician to install, inspect, and maintain hotel HVAC and refrigeration systems across guest rooms, public areas, and facilities. The role emphasizes efficient temperature control and energy management.

The candidate should have 1–2 years of relevant experience, VOC/RAC training, and strong troubleshooting skills, with a focus on safety and accurate record-keeping.

Qualifications

• TESDA or equivalent RAC/HVAC training completed.

Responsibilities

• Perform preventive maintenance, inspection, cleaning, and servicing of HVAC equipment.
• Troubleshoot and repair HVAC systems (split, window, package, VRF as applicable).
• Check and maintain compressors, condensers, evaporators, motors, fans, thermostats, filters, pumps.
• Regularly clean filters, coils, drain pans/lines, and components.
• Diagnose electrical and mechanical issues and perform repairs.
• Check refrigerant levels, leaks, and charging when required.
• Monitor energy use and efficiency of equipment.
• Respond to maintenance requests from guest rooms and public areas.
• Maintain records of maintenance and equipment status.

About the role

The Air-Conditioning Technician is responsible for the installation, inspection, preventive maintenance, troubleshooting, repair, and proper operation of the hotel's air-conditioning and refrigeration systems. The position ensures that guest rooms, public areas, offices, kitchens, and other facilities maintain comfortable and efficient temperature conditions.

Key responsibilities

• Perform regular preventive maintenance, inspection, cleaning, and servicing of air-conditioning and refrigeration equipment.

• Troubleshoot and repair air-conditioning systems, including split-type, window-type, package, and centralized/VRF systems, as applicable.

• Check and maintain compressors, condensers, evaporators, motors, fans, thermostats, filters, pumps, and related components.

• Conduct regular cleaning of air-conditioning filters, coils, drain pans, drain lines, and other components.

• Diagnose electrical and mechanical problems and perform necessary repairs.

• Check refrigerant levels, identify possible leaks, and perform proper refrigerant charging when required.

• Monitor the operating condition and energy efficiency of air-conditioning equipment.

• Respond promptly to maintenance requests and air-conditioning complaints from guest rooms, offices, restaurants, function rooms, and other hotel areas.

• Maintain proper records of preventive maintenance, repairs, inspections, and equipment status.

• Ensure proper handling and storage of tools, equipment, refrigerants, and spare parts.

About you

• At least a vocational course, TESDA certification, or technical training in Refrigeration and Air-Conditioning (RAC), HVAC, Mechanical Technology, or a related field.

• At least 1–2 years of relevant experience as an Air-Conditioning/HVAC Technician, preferably in a hotel, resort, commercial building, or similar facility.

• Knowledge and practical experience in troubleshooting and repairing various air-conditioning systems.

• Familiarity with electrical and mechanical components of HVAC equipment.

• Ability to use basic diagnostic tools and equipment such as multimeter, manifold gauge, clamp meter, and other HVAC tools.

• Knowledge of proper refrigerant handling, charging, recovery, and leak detection.

• Capable of working in confined spaces, elevated areas, and outdoor environments when required.

• Willing to work on shifting schedules, weekends, holidays, and during emergency maintenance situations.

• Good communication, teamwork, and problem-solving skills.
