Job summary

NUSTAR Resort seeks an EMT (HVAC) Technician to install, maintain, and repair ventilation, air conditioning, and refrigeration systems across the property. You will configure ductwork, thermostats, and controls, and perform preventive maintenance on AHUs and FCUs.

Candidates should have a Technical/Vocational HVAC certificate, knowledge of refrigerants and electrical controls, 1–2 years minimum experience, and certifications.

Qualifications

  • Technical/Vocational Certificate in HVAC Technology, Refrigeration, or a related field.
  • Knowledge of refrigerants, HVAC systems, and electrical controls.
  • 2–3 years of HVAC maintenance experience, hospitality or large facility preferred.
  • Certifications such as TESDA NC II or EPA Refrigerant Handling; skilled in troubleshooting compressors, fans, sensors, motors.
  • Familiar with split-type, centralized, VRF/VRV, and chilled water systems.
  • Proficient with HVAC tools, gauges, and diagnostic instruments.
  • Able to multitask and manage time; may involve night shifts, weekends, or on-call.
  • Physical labor, use of tools, and exposure to varying weather; follow safety protocols and PPE.

Responsibilities

  • Install and configure HVAC systems and components, including ductwork, thermostats, and controls.
  • Conduct preventive maintenance on AHUs, FCUs, and all AC types.
  • Troubleshoot refrigerant systems, airflow, compressors, motors, belts, and electrical components.
  • Inspect and record temperature, humidity, and air quality readings.
  • Respond to breakdowns and ensure uptime and guest comfort.
  • Timely response to temperature or airflow issues; maintain energy efficiency.

Job Responsibilities
  • The EMT (HVAC) Technician is responsible for the installation, maintenance, repair, and operation of ventilation, air conditioning, and refrigeration systems throughout the property. This role ensures that indoor climate control systems operate efficiently and safely, supporting optimal comfort for guests and staff across various facility zones, including guest rooms, public areas, back-of-house, and commercial spaces.
  • Install and configure HVAC systems and components, including ductwork, thermostats, and controls.
  • Conduct regular preventive maintenance on AHUs, FCUs, and all AC types installed in the property
  • Troubleshoot and repair issues related to refrigerant systems, airflow, compressors, motors, belts, and electrical components.
  • Inspect and record temperature, humidity, and air quality readings.
  • Respond quickly to breakdowns or guest comfort issues HVAC system performance and uptime.
  • Timely response to temperature or airflow-related issues.
  • Preventive maintenance task completion rate.
  • Energy efficiency improvements.
Qualifications
  • Technical/Vocational Certificate in HVAC Technology, Refrigeration, or a related field.
  • Knowledge of refrigerants, HVAC systems, and electrical controls.
  • At least 2–3 years of experience in HVAC maintenance (hospitality or large facility preferred).
  • Holder of applicable certifications (e.g., TESDA NC II, EPA Refrigerant Handling, etc.) Skilled in troubleshooting compressors, fans, sensors, motors.
  • Familiar with split-type, centralized, VRF/VRV, and chilled water systems.
  • Proficient in using HVAC tools, gauges, and diagnostic instruments.
  • Ability to multitask and manage time efficiently May require night shifts, weekends, or on-call duty.
  • Work involves physical labor, use of tools, and exposure to varying weather conditions.
  • Must follow all safety protocols and wear appropriate PPE.
