Job summary

Rhenus Logistics, Inc. in the Philippines seeks a experienced logistics professional to manage customer-facing air and ocean freight operations.

You will be the primary contact for customers, coordinate bookings, and ensure end-to-end execution from pickup to final delivery. Responsibilities include explaining procedures, handling documentation, and resolving disruptions while maintaining proactive client communication.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Logistics, Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, or related field.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English; proficiency in the local language is an advantage.
• Minimum of three (3) years of experience in a Customer Solutions or Customer Service role handling Air and Ocean freight shipments.
• Strong knowledge of local and international air and ocean freight services, including customs regulations and trade compliance.
• End-to-end air/ocean freight processes: booking, documentation, uplift, transit, destination handling.
• Knowledge of pricing, cost structures, and procurement topics in freight forwarding.
• Strong customer service mindset with ability to manage multiple stakeholders and resolve issues.
• Analytical and detail-oriented with ability to interpret data and monitor KPIs.
• Professional, disciplined and time-managed attitude; able to work independently.

Responsibilities

• Act as the primary contact for customers for all assigned air and sea shipments and escalation point for issues.
• Explain air/ocean freight procedures, regulatory requirements, timelines, and docs to shippers and consignees.
• Provide timely, practical, customer-focused solutions during disruptions or escalations.
• Ensure smooth end-to-end execution from booking confirmation to final delivery at destination.
• Maintain proactive communication with customers on shipment status, delays, and corrective actions.
• Handle air and sea shipments including general cargo, consol shipments, dangerous goods, and special cargo.
• Coordinate bookings and space allocation with airlines and carriers per rates and service levels.
• Prepare, verify, and release HAWB/MAWB prior to cargo acceptance.
• Coordinate with airlines, shippers, customs brokers, warehouses, and trucking providers for on-time movement.
• Monitor uplift, transit, arrival handling, and final delivery per KPIs.
• Identify and prevent delays related to customs clearance, doc gaps, or milestones.
