Job summary

DHL Global Forwarding in Manila seeks an experienced Specialist – AFR to manage airfreight shipments from initiation to delivery. You will engage with customers, handle documentation, monitor performance, and ensure regulatory compliance and service commitments.

Responsibilities include resolving incidents, coordinating local and international transport, and ensuring accurate billing and data quality. A logistics background and ERP experience are highly valued.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree (any). A degree in logistics, management will be an advantage.
• Minimum 3–4 years of experience.
• Logistics background / Air Freight operations experience will be an added advantage.
• Well versed with any ERP usage.
• Good Computer knowledge (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
• Good Communication (verbal and written) and interpersonal skills.
• Strong ability to proactively engage with customers, resolve issues efficiently, and exceed expectations.
• Ability to work independently under limited supervision.

Responsibilities

• Customer Engagement & Issue Resolution: Engage directly with customers to collect shipment info, address incidents, and resolve complaints.
• Cost & Revenue Management: Ensure accurate capture and assignment of costs and revenues to customer profiles.
• Shipment Administrative Support: Handle booking reception, documentation gathering, and coordination of transport activities.
• Shipment Management: Manage shipments according to service commitments, ensuring timely delivery and addressing issues promptly.
• Exception & Irregularity Reporting: Identify and report delays or issues to stakeholders with timely communication.
• Data Quality Improvement: Improve shipment data quality and ensure records reflect current status.
• Regulatory Compliance: Adhere to regulatory procedures for commodities and locations.
• Shipment Routing: Develop optimal routes that meet customer needs and maximize profitability.
• Invoice Preparation & Documentation: Prepare invoices with required backup, ensuring accuracy.
• Performance Monitoring: Monitor shipment performance and identify areas for improvement.
