Job summary

Security Bank's Agri Unit seeks a Product Officer to support agricultural lending, perform financial projections, and ensure compliance with the AFRD Act of 2022. The role involves site visits with Relationship Managers, monitoring eligible credits, and developing agri products with Risk Management.

The ideal candidate has a Bachelor’s degree (or higher) in Agriculture or related field and at least 2 years of relevant experience, along with strong marketing, leadership, and communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Increase awareness of Agri and fisheries market trends through reports, lectures, seminars, and information drives.
• Develop, enhance, and operationalize Agri and fisheries products and lending guidelines with Risk Management and stakeholders.
• Collaborate with bank units for promotion and innovation of managed products and marketing activities.
• Assist in internal management reports, monitor expenses, coordinate with internal audit, and perform related tasks as needed.

JOB SUMMARY

Aids the lending group in account solicitation, technical and financial projections of existing and prospective Agri

Business clients. A product officer is also expected to strategize and implement activities that will increase the Bank’s

compliance for the mandatory Agriculture, Fisheries, and Rural Development Financing Enhancement Act of 2022.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

1. Support agricultural lending by providing technical evaluation, financial projections / validation and business viability

assessment of potential and existing borrowers.

2. Conducts farm site visits / joint client calls with Relationship Managers (RMs) and/or Enterprise Risk Managers

(ERMs), and provides lending guidelines specific to client's industry

3. Identify and monitor eligible loan credits to comply with the AFRD Act of 2022 to allocate 25% of the bank's total

loanable funds for agricultural value chain, sustainable finance, and rural development loans.

4. Increase awareness of Agri and fisheries market industry trends through industry reports, conduct of lectures /

seminars and/or information drives.

5. Develop, enhance, and operationalize Agri and fisheries products and lending guidelines in coordination with Risk

Management and relevant stakeholders.

6. Collaborate with different business segments/units of the Bank for the promotion and innovation of managed

products and initiate marketing activities and participate in relevant conventions/forums.

7. Assists in the preparation of internal management reports as required, monitoring of expenses, coordination with

internal audit engagement and other administrative functions
