Job summary

Security Bank's Agri Unit seeks a Product Officer to support agricultural lending, perform financial projections, and ensure compliance with the AFRD Act of 2022. The role involves site visits with Relationship Managers, monitoring eligible credits, and developing agri products with Risk Management.

The ideal candidate has a Bachelor’s degree (or higher) in Agriculture or related field and at least 2 years of relevant experience, along with strong marketing, leadership, and communication skills.

Qualifications

• Minimum 2 years of related experience preferred.
• If no work experience, should be at least a college graduate with honors.
• Bachelor's degree or college degree.
• Fields of study include Agriculture and related disciplines such as Agribusiness, Agricultural Economics, Agricultural Engineering, Veterinary Medicine, Horticulture, etc.
• Job specialization: Agriculture/Agribusiness/Agri-related.
• Industry: Banking, Research and Development, Agriculture/Agribusiness.

Responsibilities

• Support agricultural lending with technical evaluation, financial projections, and business viability assessment of borrowers.
• Conduct farm site visits or joint client calls with Relationship Managers and ERMs and provide lending guidelines.
• Identify and monitor eligible loan credits to comply with AFRD Act 2022 to allocate 25% of loanable funds for agri value chain and rural development loans.
• Increase awareness of Agri and fisheries market trends through reports, lectures, seminars, and information drives.
• Develop, enhance, and operationalize Agri and fisheries products and lending guidelines with Risk Management and stakeholders.
• Collaborate with bank units for promotion and innovation of managed products and marketing activities.
• Assist in internal management reports, monitor expenses, coordinate with internal audit, and perform related tasks as needed.
