The ideal candidate has 3+ years in transportation dispatch and is proficient with McLeod Software, with strong communication and multitasking abilities to keep freight moving smoothly.

Qualifications

• Minimum 3 years of experience in transportation dispatch, logistics coordination, or freight operations.
• Experience using McLeod Software is required.
• Strong understanding of truckload transportation and dispatch operations.
• Knowledge of Hours of Service (HOS) regulations and DOT compliance.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Monitor active shipments and ensure on-time pickup and delivery.
• Use McLeod Software to manage loads, update statuses, dispatch drivers, and maintain records.
• Serve as primary contact for drivers during after-hours operations.
• Respond to driver emergencies, equipment breakdowns, weather delays, and disruptions.
• Coordinate with customers, carriers, brokers, and receivers for updates.
• Track freight using GPS and load tracking systems.
• Update customer information and shipment milestones in McLeod.
• Identify service failures and implement proactive solutions.
