Job summary

AXA Philippines is seeking an Accounts Reconciliation Specialist to support Finance/Financial Controlling & Accounting. You will validate daily collection balance, ensure accurate postings, and manage bank reconciliations, reporting issues and assisting in year-end statements.

The role requires attention to detail, strong communication, and proficiency in Excel and accounting software; willingness to work extended hours if needed.

Qualifications

• Graduate of Financial Accounting/Business Administration.
• Preferably with experience in General accounting and Accounts Reconciliation.
• Proficient in Excel, and any accounting software.
• Basic AI Tool Knowledge.

Responsibilities

• Validate daily collection balance (DCB).
• Handle actual/printed copies of daily collection balance.
• Daily download of bank statements.
• Daily download of posted collections per accounting books.
• Daily validation of receipts against actual bank deposits.
• Check accuracy of book postings for validated collections.
• Document issues observed in day-to-day daily collection balance validation.
• Report issues, errors, or irregularities noted on daily collections for proper handling, investigation, or disposition.
• Issues log sheet monitoring.
• Unreceipted collections schedule.
• High volume of manual daily collection balance may cause delays; adhere to timelines.
• Month End Closing Activities.
• Compute and book Bank Service Fees and Bank Interest Income; withholding tax.
• Clear Bank Reconciliation in SAP; perform cash adjustments.
• Timely and accurate booking of transactions; dependency of reports.
• Business partnering, ad hoc reporting, and other tasks.
• Prepare schedules/annual statements for Insurance Commission, auditors; assist in Bank Recon Projects.
