Your Role
- Oversee the daily processing of AR entries, timely invoicing, and the collection of current and past‑due accounts.
- Manage team resource allocation, including login monitoring and break schedules, to ensure consistent operational coverage.
- Coach agents and senior agents on monthly KPIs to ensure all individual and team targets are met.
- Categorize impaired accounts and manage the documentation process for bad debt write‑off requests.
- Handle complex escalations and coordinate with National/Area AR Managers and Financial Controllers for resolution.
- Lead weekly team meetings and participate in fortnightly AR reviews with the Australian Finance team to address challenges.
- Oversee the preparation and distribution of the Monday AR Dashboard, ensuring all property data is accurate and updated.
- Manage accounts payable tasks related to AR, such as the timely payment of OTA commissions.
What You Need
Non‑negotiables
- Minimum of 5 years of professional experience in Accounts Receivable or Finance Operations, preferably within the hospitality industry.
- Proven leadership experience in a BPO or shared services environment, managing teams of at least 10‑15 members.
- Advanced proficiency in financial reporting and the ability to interpret complex AR aging data.
- Exceptional English communication skills for professional engagement with Australian Hotel Managers and Head Office.
- Strong conflict‑resolution skills to foster harmonious relationships between properties and central offices.
Preferred Skills/Expertise
- Prior experience with Australian accounting standards and property management systems (PMS).
- Demonstrated ability to implement process improvements that reduce DSO (Days Sales Outstanding) and bad debt.
- Knowledge of health and safety regulations and experience managing incident reporting protocols.
- Ability to work autonomously while maintaining high responsiveness to the Australian working time zone.
- Strong organizational skills to manage high‑volume transactions and shifting priorities simultaneously.
