Job summary

VAP is seeking an AU Accounting Specialist focused on Accounts Receivable to support collections and receivables processes for an Australian client division. You will manage overdue accounts, allocate payments, maintain customer records in Microsoft Dynamics 365 (D365), and prepare overdue debtor reports while collaborating with finance teams and department heads.

Ideal candidates have hands-on AR experience, strong communication, and the ability to handle multiple priorities in a fast-paced

Qualifications

• Proven experience in accounts receivable, credit control, collections, or similar accounting role.
• Hands-on experience following up on overdue accounts via phone and email.
• Understanding of AR processes: payment allocations, invoicing, customer account maintenance, and credit applications.
• Experience using accounting or ERP systems, preferably Microsoft Dynamics 365 (D365).
• Strong communication and customer service skills to resolve billing queries and maintain relationships.
• Good attention to detail and organizational skills for managing accounts and reports.
• Ability to collaborate with finance teams and department heads.
• Ability to manage competing priorities and perform ad hoc tasks independently.

Responsibilities

• Follow up on overdue accounts by phone and email to support collections.
• Process daily EFTPOS payment allocations and record payments accurately.
• Create new customer accounts in D365 upon demand.
• Prepare ad hoc invoices through Accounts Receivable as required.
• Coordinate new customer credit applications and account setup.
• Respond to invoice and billing queries with department heads.
• Prepare monthly overdue debtor reports for assigned accounts.
• Collaborate with AR team and Finance to support collections and receivables processes.
• Maintain open communication with management on collection matters.
