Job summary

Maven Roofing is seeking an Accounts Receivable Specialist to manage invoicing through collections, ensuring timely payments and accurate accounts. You will collaborate with Sales, Production, Claims, and Operations to resolve discrepancies and maintain cash flow while delivering professional customer service.

The role requires experience in AR/billing, strong communication, and the ability to handle multiple accounts with attention to detail. Experience with CRM and QuickBooks is a plus.

Qualifications

• Experience in accounts receivable, collections, billing, or related financial role.
• Strong attention to detail and ability to maintain accurate financial records.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills, especially for payments and customer concerns.
• Comfortable making outbound collection calls and following up on balances.
• Strong organizational and time-management skills to manage multiple accounts.
• Ability to review accounts, identify discrepancies, and resolve issues independently.
• Professional, persistent, customer-focused approach to collections.
• Ability to work across departments and communicate when action is needed.

Responsibilities

• Manage and monitor customer accounts, outstanding invoices, and AR aging.
• Follow up with customers for outstanding balances and upcoming payments.
• Process and apply customer payments to the correct accounts and invoices.
• Prepare and send invoices, reminders, statements, and other collection communications.
• Identify overdue accounts and take follow-up actions per procedures.
• Communicate with homeowners about balances and payment expectations.
• Coordinate with Sales, Production, Claims, and other teams to resolve billing issues.
• Maintain notes, payment records, communications, and account statuses in systems.
• Reconcile accounts and investigate discrepancies between invoices, payments, and credits.
• Assist with tracking insurance proceeds, supplements, change orders, or other balances.
• Escalate significant past-due issues to leadership as needed.
• Provide regular reporting on AR aging, collections activity, and accounts needing attention.
• Help improve AR processes and documentation for faster collections.
