Job summary

Twoconnect is seeking an experienced Accounts Receivable & Collections Officer to join our finance team. The role focuses on managing debtor accounts, allocating payments, reconciling customer records, and following up overdue balances via outbound calls to wholesale and retail customers.

The ideal candidate has 3+ years in AR/credit control, strong communication, attention to detail, and proficiency with ERP systems, especially Microsoft Dynamics Business Central. Work-from-home setup available.

Qualifications

• Minimum 3 years of experience in accounts receivable, credit control, collections, or a similar finance role.
• Demonstrated experience managing debtor accounts and following up overdue balances.
• Confidence making outbound customer calls and discussing outstanding payments.
• Professional approach to collections and ability to handle difficult conversations constructively.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Experience allocating customer receipts and reconciling accounts.
• Strong attention to detail and accuracy in records.
• Ability to manage follow-ups, deadlines and competing priorities.

Responsibilities

• Process and maintain accounts receivable transactions and customer account records accurately.
• Allocate incoming payments against customer accounts and invoices.
• Reconcile customer accounts and investigate discrepancies.
• Monitor customer accounts against payment terms and overdue balances.
• Conduct proactive outbound collection calls to customers with overdue balances.
• Communicate professionally with customers regarding invoices and arrangements.
• Follow up promised payments and maintain records of collections.
• Issue customer statements, invoices and other documentation as required.
• Respond to customer inquiries and resolve discrepancies promptly.
• Escalate aged or high-risk accounts when needed.
• Assist with month-end AR reconciliations and reporting.
• Collaborate with Sales, Operations, Purchasing and Finance to resolve issues.
• Provide broader finance support during peak periods.
