Qualifications

• Associate or Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
• 2 to 5 years in accounts receivable, cash application, or general accounting in multi-regional/multi-currency environment.
• Experience with ERP systems (Oracle, SAP, NetSuite) and balance sheet reconciliations.

Responsibilities

• Process high-volume daily customer payments (ACH, wires, lockbox, checks, credit cards) and match remittances to invoices.
• Reconcile daily cash postings, bank deposits, and AR subledgers against GL reports.
• Research and resolve unapplied or short-paid cash items with agents, reps, and customers.
• Support month-end closing, GL balancing, and audit-ready record retention.
• Collaborate with Treasury, Credit & Collections, and regional finance teams to improve workflows.

Your Role

As an Accounts Receivable (AR) Cash Application Specialist, you will:

• Process high-volume daily customer payments (ACH, wires, lockbox deposits, checks, credit cards) and match remittances to open invoices.
• Reconcile daily cash postings, bank deposits, and accounts receivable subledgers against general ledger reports.
• Research and resolve unapplied, misapplied, or short-paid cash items with collection agents, sales reps, and customers.
• Support month-end closing activities, general ledger balancing, and audit-ready record retention.
• Partner with Treasury, Credit & Collections, and regional finance teams to optimize cash application workflows and internal controls.

What You Need

Non-negotiables

• Associate or Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
• 2 to 5 years of experience in accounts receivable, cash application, or general accounting within a multi-regional/multi-currency environment.
• Hands-on experience working with enterprise ERP systems (e.g., Oracle, SAP, NetSuite).
• Proven ability to meet monthly accounting close schedules and perform accurate balance sheet/bank reconciliations.
• Strong attention to detail, analytical skills, and professional customer communication skills.

Preferred Skills/expertise

• Experience working within a Shared Services Center (SSC) environment handling global operations.
• Intermediate knowledge of MS Excel (including pivot tables, VLOOKUP, and functions).
• Fluency in the Spanish language (spoken and written).
• Demonstrated continuous improvement mindset to streamline process efficiency and strengthen controls.
• Strong cross-functional collaboration skills across Treasury, Credit & Collections, and AP teams.
