Job summary

Smart Ecosystem Philippines Inc. is seeking an experienced Accounts Receivable Accountant to manage invoicing, cash application, collections, and month-end close, collaborating with Finance, Sales, Legal, and Customer Success teams.

You will maintain AR processes, monitor aging, perform reconciliations, and support audits, with opportunity to grow into revenue accounting responsibilities. Strong US GAAP knowledge and NetSuite experience are preferred.

Qualifications

• At least 4 years of accounting experience with AR, including billing, cash application, and collections.
• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field; CPA or equivalent is a plus.
• Strong knowledge of US GAAP and AR reconciliations.
• Experience with ASC 606 and revenue recognition is a strong advantage.
• Experience with NetSuite, billing systems, CRM, or contract management systems.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and issue customer invoices and credit memos based on contract terms and billing schedules.
• Apply customer payments and resolve unapplied cash, short payments, and billing discrepancies.
• Monitor AR aging, manage collection follow-ups, and elevate past-due accounts and disputes as needed.
• Track and reconcile BIR Form 2307 received from customers.
• Prepare AR subledger-to-general ledger reconciliations, journal entries, and supporting schedules.
• Support month-end and quarter-end close activities and ensure AR financials are GAAP-compliant.
• Prepare and analyze AR reporting, including aging, DSO, collections metrics, and account variances.
• Support annual audits and prepare AR-related audit schedules and documentation.
• Identify opportunities to improve and automate billing and collections processes.
• As you grow in the role, support revenue recognition, deferred revenue, unbilled receivables, and revenue close activities.
