Job summary

PM Consulting in Cebu City, Philippines, seeks an experienced Accounts Payable Lead to oversee daily AP operations and lead a team in a fast-paced environment. The role emphasizes accurate invoicing, payments, vendor requests, and Vendor Master Data Management (VMD), with a strong focus on data quality and controls.

You will collaborate with Procurement and Finance, monitor AP metrics, and drive process improvements while adapting to shifting schedules to meet client needs.

Qualifications

• 6–10 years of experience in Accounts Payable operations.
• 3–4 years of relevant AP experience may be considered depending on depth.
• Minimum of 2–3 years of people management or team leadership experience.
• Strong experience in Vendor Master Data Management (VMD) is required.
• Experience in a BPO, shared services, or finance operations environment.

Responsibilities

• Lead and oversee daily Accounts Payable operations, ensuring accurate, timely, and compliant processing of transactions.
• Coach, develop, and manage AP team members to meet targets.
• Monitor team performance and provide regular feedback and coaching.
• Ensure proper processing of invoices, payments, vendor requests, and AP-related transactions.
• Take ownership of Vendor Master Data Management processes and ensure data accuracy.
• Review vendor creation, modification, and maintenance requests with proper controls.
• Identify and resolve vendor master data discrepancies and data quality issues.
• Monitor AP aging, outstanding invoices, and other metrics for timely resolution.
• Ensure compliance with internal controls, audits, and client-specific AP procedures.
• Collaborate with Procurement, Finance, and internal stakeholders to resolve AP/vendor issues.
• Prepare operational reports and dashboards for management updates.
• Identify process gaps and drive continuous improvement initiatives.
• Support transitions, migrations, and AP-related projects as required.
